Fisi, Njaa in particular, are not innately complex animals, but for a beast of base instinct and wild inclinations he has a remarkable grasp of clan hierarchy and social behaviors. He's got a knack for being well-tolerated amongst Fisi, a good friend and relatively dignified clan mate who just happens to be incredibly self-serving. He does what it takes to get him ahead, able to go from relaxed and content to utterly vicious at the flip of a hand. He'll always be quick to undermine others who cheat and lie (thus furthering his position in the good graces of high ranks). Because he serves only himself, it's not surprising that his favored prey is (and perhaps the reason he's so good at judging character) other Fisi. One less mouth for the clan to feed. Being a Njaa he would be too weak to outright destroy a better-fed rank, but backs are better for stabbing than faces, anyway.

Small in weight but tall in stature, this formidable Njaa looks lanky and is malnourished, but that's what makes him all the more dangerous. He's got big paws, an underbite, and speed on his side. It's no surprise that a Fisi like him is colored in mud, so even when a lucky bond does wash off his camouflage, it's still there. His wrists and scraggly mane are the darkest brown, while the neutral tint of dirty river water seeps across his coat, spots sparser than river rocks. A middling color drips over his shoulders and about a quarter of the way down his hind legs, while unattractive, uneven old bone stripes hold his trademark sagging stomach.

Hellhound + Mistwatcher

Munchy is not what he was.  The days of being a long-limbed, double-jointed hyena-thing are long gone, and after so many years trapped in a crystal around Linah's neck he finally has a body to call his own and a rank no Mistwatcher has ever been accorded in the past: Ash.  The blend of Hellhound and wolfhound almost has a hyena's humpback, but not quite, what used to be brown is now a black cherry, the spots and stripes now an ashen grit comparable to soot and smoke.  He is still no attractive beast, but he has finally obtained the novelty of being unique among his kind.

Given his new status as unique, his penchant for betrayal and manipulation now extends to his bondmate, Linah.  She is a leader he can both cozy up to and stab in the back, and his loyalty lies with wherever suits his convenience at the present.

On the bright side, he's gotten significantly easier to feed.

Based On: The Eyes
One doesn't expect a higher pitched cackle coming from something as large and lumbering as this male. The Mlinzi is slightly more intelligent than most of his rank mates, and he has decided to use this to scare the living daylights out of his bond. No matter how many times he's bathed, the male will always smell like he's been burnt, and his leering acid-green eyes seem to glow hauntingly from whatever shadowy place he's managed to wedge himself into. Should one not be familiar with this Fisi, they could swear that it was a child laughing hysterically at them, which he seems to revel in - You wouldn't suspect teeth and claws to be met at the other end of a child's cry, would you? He seems to know just enough to get whatever victim he likes to come running right into his open maw, and will nom whatever he manages to lure to him. Even if that happens to be his bonded from time to time, but eventually they'll learn not to trust the 'child's' cry... Right? If not, they're in for a very long, and very painful, time bonded to this brute.

Even if bathed regularly, this male will always smell like he'd been caught in a fire, though no wounds will ever be found on his massive frame. He's large for his rank, rivaling an Epesi with the sheer size of him, and he has the bulky muscles to back it up. The majority of his russet colored fur is smeared with what would appear to be mud, though upon closer inspection, they are simply his markings. Tan takes up small spatters across his back and haunches, claiming the tips of his paws before being speckled back up his thick legs. Eyes the color of green, sizzling acid stands out in his face, though his dark chocolate colored mane grows out to nearly block them out, and the same chocolate shade claims the tip of his muzzle and his tail. Though his eyes in darkness, they will glow eerily, much like his mother's magenta eyes.

Hold Onto Your Heart Green Mottle Male

Appearance: Slightly more rounded in his physical stature than your average firelizard, this Green Mottle is a little reminiscent of a roosting sparrow when he’s not flying. A rather large sparrow, that is. His main body is a deep, dark brown, his wings only slightly lighter. But he did not escape the green hues of his rank, a hunter green swirling in choppy bursts over his wings and back. He would be downright dark from his slightly blunted nose to the end of his winding tail if it weren’t for the smattering of tick-marks in bright lime green that starts in his face and cloaks down his back before sweeping up into his wings as well.

Personality: Even before he hatched, this little guy was troubled by the idea of endings. The final end and all the endings from the beginning to the final resting place. Don’t ask him how he knows so much about endings. Maybe it was the fact that he almost didn’t get a beginning, or maybe it’s just an innate thing in his soul. He’s an old soul, but one without experience. Experience will help him grow and make him a more certain point of wisdom, but for now he likes to dwell on it.

A bit of a philosopher, he is at least a hopeful one, believing that in order to overcome hardship, one must know who one is. Not knowing that means trouble, because what else is there to hold onto? An empty heart is a useless vessel. Unfortunately, he is not so sure who he is. So caught up in the finality of things, he tends to over think and thus leaves himself muddled. He has an easier time evaluating others than he does himself, which makes him a good judge of character but at times a hypocrite.

Aloof and flighty, he often takes off for days at a time. He sticks around only when something holds his interest, and often simply observes situations, on the look out for trouble. Not that he’s seeking to fix that trouble; rather he intends to learn from it.

Look What I Just Found Blue Pureblood Male Firelizard


A little treasure hunter, that’s what he is! Nothing delights this pureblood than finding the unfound, and promptly bringing it back home for Linah to see. And what counts as treasure to him isn’t always gold or silver either. The real treasure in his eyes are the things thought lost, whether it’s that necklace that Linah misplaced two weeks ago and had given up on, or a piece of ancient pottery from deep within some ruins. He almost seems to have a nose for such things, darting off randomly only to return trilling in triumph at his find. About the only thing that can dampen his zeal for the hunt is when his finds are treated as unvaluable, or when they end up being discarded. Unless he finds out it belongs to someone, he is careful to tuck them away in safe places where they can never be lost again, though there is little sense of organization to his ‘horde.’ Then it’s off to the next hunt!


Average size for a blue pureblood, he appears a bit smaller due to the fact that he’s perpetually thin for his build, perhaps a result of his continual energy burn; he just can’t seem to gain weight, though he’s at least healthy. His underside of a sapphire blue, becoming slightly lighter as it goes up to the rest of him, and his wing membranes appear almost sky blue by comparison.
