The Four Winds [Majebe Bonding!]

North Wind
This dull red cub could be seen practicing gliding by themselves, stretching their wings out and trying to flap them and truly fly, though it more often caused them to fall to the ground.. this didn't stop them, though, and they merely got back up and climbed back up the rock to try again. They have bright blue eyes.

East Wind
The dull yellow cub could be seen playing with the black colored West Wind cub, bowling them over and giggling, though they made sure to let the other win just as often and were careful not to hurt their sibling. They have deep green eyes.

West Wind
The darkest of all the cubs, solid black, they could be seen playing with their East Wind sibling and joyfully pouncing on them, even trying to get the stoic South Wind cub to join in; though it didn't seem to work that much. They have warm brown eyes.

South Wind
The final sibling was a pure white and lay at the base of a scraggly tree, twisted by the harsh winds that blew over the mountain, and simply observed the others.. not in a negative way, more just out of curiosity and wanting to gather knowledge. They have bright red eyes.

Bonded to Fait!
(North Wind) the Wind at Your Back, and the Sun Upon Your Face Dawn Majebe

Once fully grown, the North Wind Majebe takes the form of a King Cheetah, and is covered in a lush cherry red coat of fur with darker spots and stripes breaking up the color- darker and more concentrated along his spine, fading to match the background closer to his legs. A dusty pink color coats his underbelly and neck, as well as the tips of each ear. The darker red spotting along the back of his neck merges into a short 'mane' of fur, sticking nearly straight up- a similar longer dark patch can be found at the tip of both long tails. Long, angular wings are powerful enough for him to takeoff from a flat sprint, though he prefers climbing to a higher vantage point first. The feathers fade from the same cherry red at the base of each feather with two thin stripes the same dusty pink as his belly near the tips. Bright blue eyes contrast with the dark red marks around them. A pale peachy orange smoke emits from the base of his neck, as well as trailing off from his slender feet and the tips of his tails.

As a cub he was desperate to fly, and now that he can he certainly makes the most of it- sometimes to the dismay of his bond, as he spends as much time as he possibly can up in the air. Even when he is on the ground, he is like a typical feline in that he prefers to be up high. A tree is optimal, but he woill make due with indoor furniture if needed. Despite some destructive traits (he swears it's not on purpose), he makes a great adventuring companion and is always first to volunteer himself to go along as often as possible- even if the 'adventure' is a trip to the store for some milk and eggs.

(South Wind) the With Winds and Clouds and Changing Skies Noon Majebe

Fully grown, the South Wind Majebe takes the form of a Leopard with pure white fur that is broken only by barely darker creamy yellow rosettes on her backend and legs. Darker cream fades over her face, the darkest shade covering each ear and the very tips of her tails. Bright white feathered wings are usually folded neatly at her sides, easily keeping them out of the way of others. Each feather is tipped with a bright, sunny yellow shade that shines like gold in the sunlight. In the right light an iridescent sheen can be seen on both fur and feather, and the bright yellow smoke that flows around her paws and tail tips almost seems to glow in the same light. Deep crimson eyes are framed by white lashes and whiskers, as unnerving as they are beautiful when caught watching you.

Her personality is mostly unchanged from when she was a cub; quiet and content to sit in the background observing others. She may not be the best at comforting others, or understanding emotional needs, but that doesn't mean she doesn't care; she is just busy in her own head trying to devise a solution. In the event that there is no solution she will compensate by taking care of any menial tasks she can. During her downtime she likes to find a vantage point over a well populated area and quietly people watch.

When the mother Majebe was probing minds, she happened to brush against one that wasn't per say shielded, but that in its own way acknowledged that she was taking a glance inside. Kemori was more curious than anything, at the moment it happened outside helping Hana and Kogane with grooming their feathers. Though the pair of female Rocs could typically handle it themselves he considered it a privilege and pleasure to assist them, and they in turn gifted him any loose plumes for use in crafts, magic, and of course, tricks!

Whatever she saw, in his mind or in his behavior, it seemed to have been enough as he was one of those invited to the cliffside gathering. So he prepared himself with a gift of some of the Ruc's feathers tied in a bundle and a pouch of fresh meat, just in case the mother (or mothers as it turned out to be) or cubs were hungry.

Hana was his conveyance up there as she was the smaller of the Rocs but one of his few flying companions that could bear his weight. She dropped him off at the edge, the Kitsune hopping from her back and wrapping himself in wind magic to alight on the cliff where the gathering was taking place. She, in turn, found a nearby ledge to perch on and wait.

"Greetings," he said to the adults, and to Fait and Rahn, giving a half bow in the process.

Then he saw them.

The cubs.

The.

Utterly.

Adorable.

Fluffy.

Cubs!

Instantly the five of Kemori's tails he had presently out twisted themselves into a tangle of fluff, and he swallowed heavily. It was at current all he could do, watching them play, to not hurry to them and instantly start fussing and cooing all over them all.

With a great force of will Kemori gave a carefree smile.

"Thank you for the invitation," he added to the pair of females, though his eyes never left the cubs, darting from one to the other in turn.

Oooh… if certain people were here Kemori would be in serious trouble of having his secret weakness outed. He was glad that thus far they were not, and so he could at least try (for the moment) to maintain some semblance of dignity.


Well, until East and West approached him with that simply meltingly-adorable toddle and the one started trying to play with his tails. Kemori's eyes darted back and forth, then he made a decision.


He carefully sat, revealing all eight fluffy tails and twitching them back and forth for East to chase. There was plenty of fur for paws and even mouths to get into without hurting him.

"Thank you," he said cheerfully, a pair of tails coming around so West could investigate them closer if so desired. "My people - Kitsune, though not to be confused with the Teragaian Kitsune - can have up to nine tails develop over our lives, so my having eight is quite a feat. As for how I keep them all clean…." He playfully looked back and forth as if ensuring no one could overhear before he leaned close to the two cubs and whispered. "Magic!" His eyes shifted to a purple color and with a small gesture flower petals appeared and swirled above his upturned palm.

The East cub happily sniffed at the pair of tails offered for inspection, a little more reserved in their batting at the fluffy appendages than West, who was crouching down and wiggling their but, wings half-extended, before pouncing at one.

The whisper of magic and the appearance of the petals got the attention of both cubs, however, and they watched with wide eyes as they appeared.

Wow! That's really neat. The East cub exclaimed, blinking their eyes a few times while the West looked mesmerized, echoing the Wow.. much more quietly.

(I accidentally switched the east/west cubs with who was doing what my last post, so I fixed it but it doesn't change anything as far as your interactions go ^ ^)



The North cub looked up at Fait as she spoke, tail flicking a bit but calming down after a moment. I guess.. I guess that's right. They said, eyes flicking back up before looking around and stretching their wings around.

I just can't wait to actually fly! I hate bein on the ground all the time. I know my ma said it takes time and not to hurt myself, but.. They sighed. I dunno. I guess I'm just tired of waiting.

Kemori bit back a coo at how adorable the pair were, and as they admired his magic and he casually draped a few of his tails nearby for their reclining or pawing pleasure.

"I can do many kinds of magic," the Kitsune elaborated. He traced a kanji into the air, and a stream of pure water ran from his palm. "That was the sign for water." The water vanished as a warm breeze flowed around them with another sigil, then from that to a dancing candle-like flame over his palm that he quenched by closing his fist. "Depending on the kanji I use and what I focus on, I can make many things happen. But my favorite things to make happen are fun things! Games and tricks are what the Kitsune Clan is known for."

With a cheerful grin he used more of his magic and his obi unwrapped from around his waist to dance on the air above East enticingly. Meanwhile, as he'd realized that West seemed much more laid back or shy about romping like their sibling, he gently waved a tail.

"Granted, though, everything has a time and place and we enjoy quiet and meditation as well. Or the occasional sun-warm nap. I've spent many an afternoon in my fox form dozing away."

Fait's lekku twitched. "There is so much more out there than what this planet has to offer. There is technology the likes of which you've probably never even imagined. Cloaking devices that make the wearer invisible, hover boards that can offer the rider the chance to soar through the sky even without wings, prosthetics that allow even those who have been blinded to see again, not only clearly but even through solid objects, battle mechs capable of completely devastating an army with a single blast." She sounded both proud and somehow wistful. Of course she knew she would be returning to her home one day, with her own makeshift army in tow. And though she would never admit it, she was homesick.

North Wind looked at Fait with eyes full of wonder, his wings rustling against his back in excitement. With only a moment to think about it, he stood up as tall as he could and looked up at Fait, his two tails lashing with energy.

I'd like to come with you!
