It didn't take a genius to realize that in Haven Weyr something was happening. Something big.
Anari had been seen talking with the Elder Council and Weyrwoman Sandasa, expression at varied times concerned and confused and resolute.
Then a couple of Sandasa's Firelizards were sent with messages back and forth to who knows where.
Then one bright day, just about an hour after lunch, it happened.
Every single queen dragon in the weyr, from golden purebloods to the red, gold, and silver mottles, departed together, vanishing Between.
Save for one, who was basking on the highest point she could find in the full glory of the sunlight, positively glowing, as below a herd of grazing beasts were prepared, awaiting for her to descend for the kill with Anari standing close at hand to ensure things didn't progress too far.
Only bloody the kill, all the previous weyrwomen and the current weyrwoman had warned her. Only bloody it. Anari was going to make certain that was all that happened. She understood the importance of this, after all.
And what was 'this?'
Oroveth was going to rise to mate!

Ok, my first Chase and Oroveth's first Rise!
A few details to note:
*As per the Database either gender of dragon can join in the chase, but as Oroveth is looking to mate and have her first clutch I'm more likely to have a male dragon finally catch her in the end.
*Mottles and Purebloods are welcome!
*If one of your characters has a dragon, then the dragon can join. If you do not have a character with a dragon you can run an NPC Rider's dragon – either Mottle or Pureblood – or an un-Impressed Mottle. Obviously, all Purebloods must have a Rider partner.
*If you aren't familiar with Pern or Dragon mating, just to be clear, the Riders do not participate in the Flight itself. But Anari will be on hand for RP moments when things get going.
*On Sundered Weyr, we have also done away with the Pern concept of the dragon's ardor affecting their Riders. So though the dragon's only have one thing on their minds the riders can be perfectly civil and not consumed with trying to get into Anari's bed lol.
What I need in an Initial Post:
*Obviously, get your dragons there, somewhere where they can see Oroveth but not approaching or touching her. She'll be hostile to any who get too close, or who interrupt her feed.
*When I think it's time, Oroveth will bloody her kill and take to the air! That's your cue to follow. I will have some guidelines for the actual flight when it happens.
Ok, if there's any question, feel free to PM me or contact me on Discord. Have fun!
