As Bright and Glamorous as the Diamond Ring Male Solar Eclipse Gold Mottle Firelizard
One of the most spectacular moments of the eclipse is the formation of the Diamond Ring effect, a brilliant burst of light forming at one side of the moon like the gem on a heavenly ring, a very fashionable accessory for the event of an age. Just as breathtaking and fashionable! - is this gold mottle. A sweet, kind-hearted little queen, he also an undeniable fashionista with a flare for creating his own styles, experimenting with what goes with what, and of course offering his expert advice to anyone within empathic reach. Denying said advice will often send him into a fit of hissing and chattering at the continued faux pas, and telling him that he's committed such a grave error of fashion judgment is a guaranteed way to get a few firelizard scratches for your effort. He thinks bonding Linah was a perfect choice: the immortal's extensive experiences of many cultures and lifespan have opened so many doors for styles from ages past that the connection was irresistible! Hopefully Linah can handle the little fashionista flit's behavior and the fact that after this no one in the household not Linah, her other Bondeds, or Zhi will ever leave the house without looking their best ever again!
An elegant creature, this rare male queen is a lovely gold that holds a shimmer of midnight back from his Solar Eclipse mutation when the light strikes it directly and the white-blue-yellow glow that normally fuzzes his features over is absent for an hour or so every six to twelve. Gilded scales run along the edges of both wingbones and down his brow and muzzle like a glamorous faceplate. He has a wild gold dragon's ruffled wings that run down the length of his body, making him a very graceful flier, and whenever possible he adores wearing accessories of any kind! Especially headdresses and things that rest upon his forehead, where they get caught and glimmer in the light of the flare that rests there when his glow is muted.
A Perfect Groundskeeper Pegasus Goat Chinook Male, Jojo
A flutter of wings, a clicking of delicate hooves, certainly a pegasus come for a visit.
Baaa!
Ok, now hold on a minute here! Jojo certainly is a pegasus, but a pegasus quite unlike any other to be seen currently around the Weyr or the Village. Thjis is namely because Jojo is a Goat Pegasus. A Goat Chinook Pegasus to be exact! And he has quite a passion for being the ideal groundskeeper and ensuring the lawn of the Sleeping Shamrock looks absolutely immaculate! He has his rank's famed stubborn streak and often it is turned to the weeds that dare invade his domain; no matter how deep their roots he will dig and bite them out until they lay in a heap at his hooves! And he certainly never needs a lawnmower to keep the grass trim. Just about every day for an hour or so he goes along, nibbling here and there to make sure every blade is kept at the same level, and peruses through the shrubbery for stray leaves or twigs. Jojo can even make a very fine topiary if Linah requests it!
Jojo, to look at him, is typically goat-sized. So he stands about three feet tall at the shoulder give or take a few inches. Given this obviously he cannot carry an adult male around on his back as other Chinook pegasus can, though where he lacks in carrying capacity he more than makes up for in pulling capacity, able to tug along loads that would normally take a horse-based Chinook or even a Celestial Starmane to haul. If a child is small enough, he could carry them around, though for the most part it would be more practical to have them in a wagon to be towed.
As Chinooks show for their rank, Jojo has a technical 'Bald face' that starts as a point between his horns and flares out in a diamond shape to encircle his blue eyes, then runs straight down his muzzle to end in a point over his upper lip. Perhaps in a nod to his overall mutation as a Goat rather than a horse and his unique coloration, this face marking is almost a golden brown (rather than a horse's normal white) in sharp contrast with the darker near-black that covers most of his head and the rest of his body. When these hairs are let to grow out they tend to bleach in the sunlight to a cinnamon brown, and he has one white sock on his left foreleg. His horns are ivory white, though often stained with the dirt he pushes around in his gardening pursuits.
Little Wise Woman Midnight Firelizard What can you say about a little girl who accepted after initial trepidation the patroage of the lady of wisdom and foresight? And yes we've seen Yu'lon actually can BE a lady as she pretended to be a child pandaren to test someone's mettle. How clever if only this little one could grow to his intelligence alas the fate of the poor firelizard. Trapped without communication to humanoids, due to the brains simply working different, so only way to understand one another is through pictures. Well she'll just do what she has to do and you'll do what you have to do though don't be surprised if she thinks you're doing something wrong she corrects you with claws if it's especially egregious.
Now Little Wise Woman Green Yu'la thought she'd been left behind when Linah changed worlds. Forgotten in the tumult of the destruction of Planet, Yu'la languished for a while in the fog and the emptiness, until one day she found herself on Teragaia, forever changed. No longer was her rank a sterile Midnight, she was a pedigree Green, and capable of finding herself a mate and laying eggs. Which she did, since she couldn't find her person. Most of her young went wild, but one of her sons, a Blue, stayed with her, and joined her the day she rediscovered Linah and re-affirmed her bond. Yu'la is still a smart and passionate little creature, still stuck communicating in pictures, and she still corrects bad behavior (and reckless stupidity) with her claws when necessary.
The Deliverer Blue Most of this blue's clutchmates went wild. In fact, all of them did. For some reason, however, this one felt compelled to stay with his mother Yu'la, even though she's only a green, not a gold, and therefore has no powers of command to keep him around. He stays because he loves his mother, enough even to search out and find his mother's bondmate Linah. All he had were the pictures of memories his mother had communicated to him to work with, and yet he found the Immortal and delivered his mother back to her bond. He's a gentle sort, who seems to act with a wisdom beyond the limited intelligence of firelizards. It should be known, though, that he's loyal to Yu'la first and Linah second.
His flawless smooth hide is a rich sapphire, lightening to a ring of robin's egg blue in a crown around his head knob and noon sky blue in the expanse of his wings.
A loner describes this Platinum fairly well. Still young enough to have all the energy in the world at his pawtips, he believe there is nothing he can't do. By himself. You will not hear this 'Guard asking for help very often and even when he does ask for help, it is the beat around the bush kind of asking. He loves his ability to do things on his own and in a way, that is his freedom since true freedom is out of the question (does not mean he does not try and push the boundaries of the link every now and then). When he wants you company, he will let you know by just slipping up quietly beside you. Almost like one minutes he isn't there and the next he is.
He is nearly a solid light grey. The one exception being the light ivory spots about the size of a child's fingerprint that line his back, close to his spine. His eyes are a deep grey and looks out onto the world with an eagerness to explore and wrestle with it. He wears a purple scarf around his neck and while no one quite knows where he got it from, he rarely parts with it.
Brave Heart Gold It's a gold's lot in life to be the strong one in the pack; the protector, the brave soul that ventures out before the rest and assesses the safety of the situation. Just because this little guy accepts that doesn't mean that he likes it. Actually, he'd really like it if somebody else made sure that there was nothing waiting out in the dark. The dark and the wild are both very scary, and you know what's out there, don't you? Toothy, angry things that would love to make a handsome rug of our fellow here. He really doesn't want to become a rug for anybody's hearth; unless you mean the kind of living rug that protects your feet from drafts. Drafts can be nasty, too, you know. He's more than happy to keep you from that fate.
Truth be told, he trembles on the inside when he has to do something brave. Still -- it's bred into him, the compulsion to throw himself into danger, to keep you and the others he considers his pack safe. Courage, after all, is being afraid and saddling up anyways, isn't it? Oh, his heart may not be the bravest thing out there, and he may quail when he thinks of all the terrible things that might happen, but he does 'em anyhow. Just don't expect him to like it, or be able to sum up all that many rousing speeches as to the merits of why you should be doing scary things. No, no, he'd much rather you just stayed inside your house so he can protect you from those drafts, thank you very much. Please. Really, it's best for everybody involved.
Perhaps the least-marked individual of the entire group, this gold's coat is a flat shade of black that seems to absorb light. Coupled with his imposing stature -- big, and shaggy, and blunt of snout -- he can be quite imposing without even meaning to be. That, and the remnants of his puppyhood ailment; a webbing of pockmarked depressions that bubble down the left side of his face and into his ample jowls. He's got warm honey-colored eyes that just don't seem very hard or dangerous, set deep in his face and under a half-formed wrinkle of what almost looks like consternation over his brow. His stones are varied in size but all quite sharp and jagged, a near-brown shade of copper that isn't overly sparkly, but does match those eyes. How nice.
Can You Feel the Tension Steel Pirates of the Caribbean Piano Cover – Jarrod Radnich Italics 744343
If ever there was a person that didn't know how to relax, it was this Steel. When you look at him, he always seems to be tense; a tautness in the muscles, the shifting of his eyes and his tendency to pace at any given moment. It's even in his walk, and sometimes you wonder if he's just stressed out or about ready to snap. And perhaps he is- it's really hard to tell with him. He's very secluded, very withdrawn, much more an introvert than his brother Gold. He would rather pace and listen than to participate. He would rather act than speak, truth be told. Lack of action just leads to more unused energy, and energy was meant to be used. Why waste it? The Steel has a very rough way of putting things- people might call it blunt, but he just gets right to the point. He's not mean, not cynical; just short and to the point. Maybe it's better that way. One would get the sense that, were he to play word and/or mind games, you'd be screwed.
This 'hound's coat is a mess of different browns. From amber, to chocolate, to rust and to a rich rum color, his fur is layered and has no direction. The long fur doesn't easily shift from one color to the next, either; where one color ends and another begins are sharp borders that seem to fight each other for dominance. His eyes, a metallic yellow, peer out of his wolfy face and seem to pierce through you. This is only accented more with the dark steel colored jewels on him, as well as the two large wings sprouting out of his back.
Filling the Empty Space Red Kokhanochka – Barbarian Pipe Band da720b
Busy, busy! The Filling the Empty Space Red is always looking for something to do. She's restless, and there's always something that can be done. It doesn't always have to be something exciting or huge- it could be something like cleaning, or organizing. Or finally listening to that song that's been stuck in your head all day. She just likes being productive is what we're getting at here. Something else you'll notice that she can't handle is silence. It drives her absolutely nuts. So you'll find her humming, turning the radio on, commentating on things to herself- anything to fill the empty void. Don't try to break her of the habit- she'll go up one side of you and down the other. This Red ain't afraid to speak her mind.
Short and stocky, this Red looks like she has the body of a bulldog, but still is long with the same head as a wolf dog. She has a thick, cream colored coat. Smudges of gray spot her shoulders and back, with larger black spots on belly and rump. Dark red glitters in her gemstones, matched perfectly by her large, wide wings. Amber eyes finish off her look, and look as hard as the gemstones that she sports.
Too Much of a Bad Thing Banded Onyx Font: #d80c27 The first feature most notice about this Hyard is the blood-red color of his horn, spiraling up from the forest green scales covering his forehead. Then there is the burnt orange swirls of color outlining his eyes and sweeping through the forest-toned scales, reminiscent of flames rolling up from his eyes and dripping across the angular planes of his face. The swirls continue, in a more muted shade of aged ivory, along the length of his neck and scatter across his brawny limbs, the lighter highlights complimenting a lightening of his base green shading. He ranges from forest green on his head to moss at his bulky shoulders, new leaf green streaking down his broad chest and rigid back while vibrant jade coats his large, webbed paws and his always-twitching tail. His fur matches his scales in patterning, the swirls crossing from scale to fur and back again, and the short length which he insists on cropping his mane to only enhances the seamless transitions.
Inept Trickster, Self-Centered, Pseudo-Evil Anyone who has the misfortune to meet this Hyard might put some serious stock in the rumor that Hyards are a cross between Serpens and Seraphelines (horrifying thought, that - and who would ever start such a rumor anyway?!). He certainly has the nasty disposition and love for causing trouble down pat. If shinies had middle names his would be Trouble. Or Mischief. No, wait, it would totally be Chaos! Except that would imply that his schemes are successful, and, lucky for everyone else, they generally are anything but that. Oh sure, he tries to set up traps for unwary shinies to cover them in foul-smelling solutions, and he loves to add a bit of special flavoring to meals in an attempt to cause (temporary) distress, but the reality is that he is just not good at it. His traps are woefully obvious, he never manages to find dangerous herbs in the right season, and he can't be bothered to do any of the really hard work that would make things work out. Like, you know, plan. Have patience. Enlist help. So he is doomed to perpetual failure. That is, unless someone takes him in hand and decides to teach him those skills.
