"Nope. Twenty years for you Nec. More like seven odd for me." Her eyes raised and that evil grin was back. "Well, I would hope not. I can't imagine you were going to stay innocent forever. Some poor girl or guy had to be foolish enough to hope into bed with you." She placed a hand over her heart and tried to look all dramatic at the thought, till she busted up laughing.
"And traveling here and there. Ended up here about a couple of years back and life hasn't been so bad. Certainly didn't get my magic taken away. Though I have to wonder why the IF would do something like that...Maybe it just wanted you to stick out like the sore limb you are."
"Wait, twenty? You just said hundred, how d'you get twenty now?" Was he getting confused or did she get years mixed up? Did it matter?
Aaaand there she got to see the purple! "I--! There was no 'poor' about that!" Sputtering Nec went wide eyed but couldn't stop a laugh either at the teasing and 'drama'. "I'll have you know I'm very good at that stuff." 'Insulted', Nec stuck his nose up and huffed. "You're so crude, miss Kitty, speaking of such things!" He managed to keep a straight face just long enough to say it before laughing again.
So strange, they were teasing and joking like old friends (and they apparently were), but he also felt they'd just met but was still completely comfortable with this.
"Wow, thanks for that. You're so nice in your compliments. Can't wait for you to turn into a cat so I can pull your tail." He shrugged. "Don't know. But I don't actually think it was the IF, mire likely it was whatever brings people here, or the portal i jumped through. Didn't look normal but I had to take the chance."
"I did didnt I? To be fair, my brain is going off of how you look and you certainly don't look over a hundred." She paused and squinted her eyes to stare at him. "Maybe a bot over five hundred. It that an age spot over there under the corner of your eye?"
Seeing the purple come into his cheeks, she busted up laughing. She even had to pause in her walking to hang onto her stomach. "What was that about it being a challenge nec? Cause pretty sure insist succeeded on the first try!" Another howl of laughter escaped her before she was able to get herself under control. Straightening back up, she caught up.
"No ones ever accused me of being a proper lady nec. Least of all myself. Afraid crude and rude is all you get." She spread her arms wide and did a little twirl. "And I am sure you are nec. Probably heard no compliments to tell you otherwise." A finger would come up to tap her lips. "Probably to confused on how the package could look so good while the action was so...not."
Turning slightly, jasper gave a small swish of her behind. "You will just have to wait awhile then. And ahhh. The magics couldnt handle each other then and one of then had to go it sounded like."
"I'm three hundred now. I was around two hundred in the time I lost my memory. And I do not look five hundred! You're impossible!" Throwing up his arms Nec rolled his eyes and laughed. Impossible but fun! "Age spot my arse. At least I'm not going gray around the ears."
Well what did she expect when they were discussing his damn sex life?! "If you really gotta ask you're more innocent than I thought, Kitty. What I do in bed is for me to know and you to agonize over not knowing." Oh the smirk he gave her, a taunt, a tease, an 'I dare you to find out', as he leaned down. "Guess that's fair, and crude and rude is more fun anyway. And I do get compliments, quite inventive ones I might add." Wait what? "You!" A snatch and Nec picked her up and threw her over his shoulder! "That's so rude, I need to give you a bath! Let's hope the IF turned the river into chocolate fudge again!"
To hell with coffee for now, he was so gonna dip her in the river! Striding through town they got a few odd looks, but mostly it was smiles and chuckles, most people knew Nec by now, and knew he had an ongoing orank war with Kemori, it wasn't unthinkable he had one with someone else too.
Jasper shrugged as she took the grey as more of a compliment. There was a point she thought she wouldn't even reach twenty five let alone nearly thirty, but here she was. She had survived and she was damn proud of that.
"Oh, but Nec. You see. I do know how you are in bed." In a more innocent sense of the word, but he didn't need to know that. He could just find his memory if he wanted the full story there. "Oh I sure you dooooooo!" She howled in laughter again as she suddenly found herself up side down and over Nec's shoulder.
"Nope. I think it is vanilla pudding today!" Laughing, she would only make token struggles to get away. She was about seventy five percent positive that Nec was really gonna dunk her into the river. And if he actually did...Shouldn't be too hard to drag him in with her. Waving at those that knew her as well, she reached down and poked him in the sides.
"Wonder if you are still as ticklish as I remember Rocky."
"You..." Well if they'd hit it off like they did now, it wasn't impossible... "Sooo... You and I... Were..." a thing? Together? Friends with benefits? What?
Nec went oddly quiet for a moment with an unreadable expression, but snapped back soon enough! "Anyway! River! You! Now!" Vanilla pudding would work just fine, he briefly wondered if it was as hard getting out of hair as chocotale fudge was to get out of Kemori's tails!
And he definitely did not squawk! Those fingers did not hit the right (or wrong) spot at all, he tripped! Yes, tripped, almost dropping Kitty but managing to catch himself at the last second. "I was debating not dunking you completely but you just spoiled that chance!"
"Probably wasn't much of a debate." And oh yes! He was just as ticklish as she remembered! He could try and deny it all he wanted, but Jasper knew and that was all that mattered. She did stop though as she liked the thought of not having a bruised butt. Or a goosebump on her head.
A low hum came out of her throat. "We were something. That was for sure. Took down more than one person in our time together too." Her voice turned a bit sad at that. He wouldn't remember any of it...All the adventures they had and everything. Maybe it was a good thing in some cases? Some of those adventures she hadn't been on herself, but she had heard they were a bit...Not fun.
"Just remember Nec. I can find out where you live easily enough. And I'll have the perfect excuse too!" People opened up at the thought of someone getting food. It was a wonderful door opener. "Ever wonder what it is like to wake up covered in feathers and icing?"
"Took down people. Threesome or actually took them down?" Another tease of course, grateful she didn't poke again. Clearly she knew a thing or two about him.
He tilted his head at the sudden change in her voice though. Sad? Wh-oh... "You actually missed me." His tone was surprised, a bit softer. Why?? He knew for a fact he'd been an utter arse at that age! Angry and volatile and so fast to violence it was a wonder he was still alive! "How the hell did you even decide to get to know ne, much less miss me?"
"Heh, good luck, I don't live anywhere yet, but I could be persuaded to let you know the general area."
And there was the river! Unfortunately neither chocolate fudge nor vanilla pudding, but instead a creamy... was that tomato soup?
"One of them certainly wouldn't have minded a threesome minus you." She barely repressed the shudder at that thought. Even years later, that memory still haunted her. At least the stupid curse hadn't followed them for more than a few days it seemed like...Unless she spilled a lot of blood onto the ground when Nec was nearby that was. That hadn't been fun to figure out.
"Well. You see. There was a horse and an arrow and a mirror. Plus for some odd reason, I think you admire me admiring your horrible cooking skills." She settled her chin into her hand and snorted. "Don't get me wrong. You were an arsehole. Still are one. But...Don't you feel how we just click together? It was like that from the very first moment basically. We just...Somehow clicked." She couldn't explain it and she wasn't trying to make an argument that they should be a couple or anything. She considered Nec a friend above all and she had missed her first ever friend.
Hearing the water, she perked up and then made a face. "Oh no no no no. If that river is as hot as tomato soup usually is, you are not tossing me into it!"
"Aw, minus me would've just been boring." Oh, what was that? A slight change, she tensed for a moment? Yeeeaaah, maybe drop the topic, whatever made her react like that.
"That sounds like the start of a fairy tale." And gave him deja vu sensations. "Let me guess, the mirror was magic?" He shifted his hold on her a bit. "Aw damn, you ate my food? And lived?" Pff, he chuckled and shook his head at that. "I probably just liked the attention. Ey! You don't know that, I'm a hundred years older!" But yep, he did, it was uncanny and weird and he was completely at ease with it. "Yeah, I do. On the one hand you're new, on the other it's like finding an old friend again. Heh. Strange but I like it."
"Hahaaah, oh yes!" At least he had the courtesy to test the soup! A nice bath temperature actually, so no worries there! "Bath time!" Nec flipped her off his shoulder and though it would feel like he'd just drop her straight in, he caught her just in time so only her head went under!
"You are gonna toss me into a river made of soup. Pretty sure that still ranks as being an arsehole." She watched him test the water and damn...No yelp or anything. It was probably just normal river temp. Lucky her. "And yeah. It was. In the worst way possible."
As she was flipped, she let out a quick yelp before holding her breath. She didn't think drowning in tomato soup was any difference than drowning in normal water. It was going to be a pain to try and get the soup stains out of her clothes. Then she felt strong arms around her again. Just as her head went under. Coming up sputtering, she glared at him. Though it didn't last long as she started to laugh.
Her face was covered in tomato soup and she knew she must have looked a sight! "I think you missed a spot right..." She wiped off some of the soup and flung it at his face. "There!"
It was but for a second she was under, and coming up she'd be dripping.
"Care for an"-*SPLAT*
He should have seen it coming! Maybe he did and didn't mind if she used her chance, Nec wasn't sure but he still sputtered! "Hey, not bad taste for a river! Aw look, you have a bare spot!"
*Diiiiiiip*
But not all the way under this time, just her hair and Nec swished her around like he was stirring before pulling her up and finally setting her down. "You look lovely in orange, Kitty."
She squealed in delight before laughing as she tilted her head to ring out the excess in her hair. "Orange isn't too far off from red, but I must admit. You look awful in it." She flicked some more at his face, but didn't actually put much force behind it.
"I hope you know that you get to help me get this out of my hair now. At least it is so...Liquidy." Getting most of it out of the strands, she let it fall to her back. Tomato stains be damned. She didn't have a hair tie to put it up and she wasn't about to tie it up into knots. "Should be easy to wash out unless it starts to act like a glue."
Turning, she did a bit of a pose, just playing up the silly factor before grinning at him. "Now it will have to be a true rain check for the coffee."
He flinched again at the second throw, but even though it hit it wasn't much, and fun either way. "Red goes better with blue than orange at least." Wiping his face he got some on his clothes too but didn't care. "Again with the compliments! You're lucky I didn't drop all of you in there, Kitty!"
Hmm, help her? "I could probably find a river with water and drop you in?" ick, making a face at the glue. Nec gave her a warning look. "The IF doesn't like me so it's quite likely."
"I would have been fine. Drowning in soup isn't on my top ten list, but it is at least an interesting way to go." A groan escaped her mouth as she was informed that the IF didn't particularly like Nec. Just her luck huh? "If I have to cut my hair because of this Nec. I am gonna skin something you would rather I not touch in a temper." She wagged her finger at him as she started walking back up the river.
"I know a public shower near here and planned? Oh Nec. I can give you a lot of credit and I generally do, but I don't think dunking me into the river was planned at all." Laughing, she would shake her head, sending small soup droplets everywhere. "Not by a long shot."
