It was ringing. Why was the phone still ringing? High placed a hand against their head before shaking it slightly and looking around. Their wings weren't used to carrying them so far or for so long, and eventually they had just given out. It was blissfully dark, wherever they'd wound up after falling such a long way. Maybe they'd finally died and this was the afterlife? They slowly got to their feet, thankful that they could still move, and managed to drag themself to the illusory-seeming building in front of them. It looked like a large tree with a doorway carved into it, nests in its branches; in other words, the perfect home for a young bird like themself. As they passed through the doorway, only the glow of their white eyes was visible. The ravenchild paused, turning their head this way and that, but there didn't seem to be anything that could trip them up or possibly hurt them. Another step forward had High's taloned foot landing in a shallow pool of water and they immediately stepped back again, unsure if the water went any deeper or how wide the pool was. They weren't exactly a good swimmer, so it was probably in their best interests to avoid it for now.
Further exploration of the inside of the trunk revealed that it was somehow smaller than the outside appearance might imply. Before High could consider the implications of that, they wound up bumping into something (or someone) in the dark. They scrambled backwards, falling on their tailfeathers as they stared up at the barely-visible figure in the darkness. Their glowing white eyes didn't provide much illumination, but ravens were usually able to see decently well in this lighting or lack thereof.

OOC: For the free two stars I'd like a Black Mottle fire lizard and a Night hippogryph, plus 30 BP for a Black Mottle dragon.)
