Far From Lonely

Today, the Shrine was a lively place. Brightly lit with lights on string from column to column, a long table was set with snacks and sweets and a bowl of punch, and from some unknown location soft but merry music was playing, the kind that might call some to dance. some creatures were gathered around - a Seraph Starmane, a Day roc, a Smoke Mistwatcher, white fire lizard, a two-tailed Wind kitsune, and a Jackalope Lepicerin. They had clearly been enjoying the goodies, with plates and cups though when Lolbit and Bonnet came into view they left the treats alone and came to greet them. Bonds, and new friends, were made.

Lolbit:

No Matter What, Try Female Seraph Starmane

Sometimes, taking that first step on any endeavor is the hardest part. Fear of the unknown, of failure, the difficulties any project entails, like to overwhelm the one beginning the undertaking. Critics can be harsh, and self-criticism is harsher still. No Matter What understands this well. Her love of life has led her to try a great many things at various times: gardening, painting, cooking, astronomy, dance, and others. Sometimes she was successful, sometimes not, just as sometimes there were those who derided her for even trying. So when Lolbit makes an attempt at anything it's a sure thing that this Starmane will be a ready source of encouragement and support. Even trying is itself worth the effort.

Like all of these commonly-found females, No Matter What is colored by sunrise and sunset. Her pelt is rich chestnut touched by metallic bronze with blue roan stockings on all four legs and a sun-bright cream star on her brow. Her mane and tail are a much more fiery red with just enough dark crimson to give the hair depth of quality and golden-yellow stars. In sharp contrast her eyes are emerald green. Like all Seraph Starmanes she can manifest four ethereal wings at will. In body she resembles a Fresian; some might say she's strong for her elegant appearance, though she's far too gentle a heart to use her strength and endurance for anything other than pleasure rides save in the most dire emergencies.



A Plump Little Birdie Female Day Roc

Full of nearly endless goodwill and cheer, Little Birdie is a Roc that just about everyone gets along with at first meeting. Plump and cuddly, soft-featured with a soft Mindvoice, she loves to be around her people and simply enjoy one another's company. She's not a loud Roc by any stretch of the imagination. Loud parties make her uncomfortable not because she's antisocial or unfriendly. She's just poorly suited to their wild energy. Give her a quiet get-together with a few intimates and she'd be much happier. Her love language is clearly physical touch as she loves to cuddle just as much as she loves nestling down in her soft feathers in the warm sunshine for a nap.

Little Birdie is a plump Roc, and she's not embarrassed to admit it (she's actually quite proud of her physique, really). She has the body shape of a partridge with the rounded body, small round head, short but sharp beak, and almost blunt legs. Her feathers are primarily pastel peach with white, pink, and pale green bands on her wing and chest feathers, a white throat, and a slightly darker pastel blue running a line down from each amethyst eye and across her throat. Her beak and legs are coral in hue. She stands only about twelve feet tall, on the smaller side for a Roc. She just says that makes her more cuddly.



Master of the Wild Male Smoke Mistwatcher

Moving stealthily through the forest, all but invisible, right up until the very moment he strikes! Master of the Wild knows every trick to move unseen and unheard. Many swear that he has to have some kind of arcane mutation, be able to turn invisible. But that's not the case. It's just talent, training, and skill, along with his mottled coat. He can be in a fully sunlit room and just fade away into the background shadows. Being unnoticed is something he rather enjoys. It lets him get done what he needs to such as providing for his family, scouting out trouble before it reaches home, and learning all the secret ways through and around every place he can (even those that it's said are impassible; they never truly are barring the IF). Master of the Wild isn't the most friendly Smoke around. He tends to be gruff and tacturn, rarely giving expressions of happiness like a wagging tail. He can even be cruel when the mood and situation strikes him to be. But he's above all else loyal to the end. No amount of bribery or coercion will turn him away from Lolbit, even if it means sacrifice on his or another's part. He's a good tactician to boot, which is a good thing since he hunts and scouts so much.

Master of the Wild is not a large wolfdog. He stands shorter than most other males of his kind at a two feet at the shoulder and two and a half feet long. He could be called slim of body and leg, though he is strong and enduring enough to run all day and all night while tracking his prey. His attacks are blindingly fast and accurate. His fur is a mottled with varying shades of gray with a few black locks here and there, perfect for distorting his outline when he's trying not to be seen. His eyes are slate gray flanking a silver gem, as all Smoke Mistwatchers have. A few scars on his forelegs and one across his muzzle account for his hard lifestyle.


Bonnet:

Star-Dreamer Female White Mottle Firelizard

Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how she marvels at what you are. Star-Dreamer is absolutely in love with the stars. She'll happily sit outside or at a window/skylight at night for hours as long as there's even the faintest chance that she can spot a glimmering in the dark sky. She wants to decorate with them, string up tiny lights to look like stars across the ceiling, She'd make paper stars if she had the manual dexterity to do so. Should she ever get her claws on a telescope and someone to help her position it, she'd be over the moon (pun intended). And like the stars she's has a dreamy, even mystical side to her. She sees the world as a place of wonder and magic.

A small little flit at only a foot nose to tailtip, Star-Dreamer is a warm white all over, like a dragony cotton puff. Even her scales - situated on the across the back of her head, neck, her back, and down the top of her tail - feel soft to the touch, rather than have harsh or sharp edges despite there definitely being present. Her underside feels velvety as well. At a distance she might be taken for a white pureblood but when she spreads her wings the undersides



Chase the Horizon Male Twi-Tailed Wind Clan Kitsune

It's hard to keep Chase the Horizon in one place for long. He's a restless soul, consumed by wanderlust and as free-spirited as the wind. Nothing delights him more than going for a long hike to see what there is to be seen, exploring through the forest for hours, or taking a long sail on the ocean for the experience of it. He's not much of a swimmer or he'd probably love snorkeling and diving too! This also has made him resourceful and instilled a good sense of direction; it's never good to check out some unknown jungle and end up not knowing which way home is! The only thing better than exploring new places (and revisiting old haunts) is having someone to do it all with. So let's go!

A soft mint green all over with just slightly darker underside and paws, with kiwi-green tips to his dual tails, Chase the Horizon is often somewhat wind-ruffled, Clan notwithstanding, from all the running around he does. The kanji for 'wind' is still quite visible on his forehead in a matching kiwi-green and his jade eyes glitter with the joy he feels for life.



Doing What I Must Female Jackalope Lepicerin, Iona

Courage isn't the absence of fear. It's action in the face of fear. That's the philosophy Iona heard repeatedly from her Jackalope grandmother to the point that it embedded itself in her subconscious. At first blush she's not a creature one would call 'bold.' Iona prefers to sit quietly, ideally in a patch of delicious grass under the warm sunlight. She tolerates being picked up and carried about, and will bolt for the closest burrow to hide in should dragons start roaring. But in those times when danger threatens and her fluffy tail is against the wall, Iona digs deep down and finds a reserve of course that allows her to do what some might call 'heroic deeds.' She'll bound through flames, raging storms, between the legs of combatants, even dare to face down a dragon to protect those she loves. And though through it all she'll be shaking like a leaf she will never back down until the danger is passed.

Iona is a fairly dark-colored rabbit with reddish undersides and in a ring around each eye. Her ears stand straight up and are pale pink inside, and her eyes are brown. Though she is one of the rare female members of her rank she still has their antlers, hers graceful if smaller than others might carry.
