Solitary Conversations, Convivial Socializations

Indeed, Frisk was safe at the Veiled Shrine. One might say that it was the safest place on Teragaia, where even the IF - if it dared tread there - did so only tentatively.

Outwardly the Shrine would have taken a somewhat foreboding appearance, that of an albeit small keep of sorts complete with a tall wall with a raised portcullis and an internal, fort-like building with an open door. But from the moment Frisk would cross beneath those upraised bars there would be a sense of security, of welcome, that was undeniable. A silent wisp of fog, perhaps as large as a horse, would drift along the walls before vanishing; maybe a manifestation of Aeon himself, shown to one who expressed faith in him and his ability to protect those who visited?

Who's to say?

Entering the fort proper would be where the pool of water waited. The fort seemed to be just one single, large room rather than a proper fort and resting by the pool, with her head bowed so low that the tip of her horn nearly touched the surface, was a unicorn. Her eyes were blinking slowly as she watched her reflection and it wasn't until a mindvoice in the shadows spoke that she seemed to realize Frisk was there.

Horn-horse look, one waited ams here. Given the terrible grammar it was no surprise that a purple Zaithand with red face markings was the one who stepped from the shadows, a book held carefully in his teeth. The Unicorn looked up and smiled, though there was a weariness in her eyes.

Ah! You've come. With soft steps, the lightest click of hoof upon stone, she approached Frisk and lowered her head to touch his shoulder with her horn, a gesture of loyalty from a Unicorn. The Zaithand followed close behind, setting the book down and nosing it open to the 'bookmark' he'd placed there. It was a necklace adorned with Zaithand teeth, likely his own, and this was presented to Frisk as well.

A soft glow coming from behind Frisk would be a late arrival to the Shrine, this one also equine but far larger than the heraldic unicorn. Softly glowing with wings out in a greeting kind of display the Starmane calmly stepped up, a small cloth formed into a satchel held in his mouth. Whatever was held within was slightly moving.

You should take it, encouraged the Unicorn. It needs someone when it hatches, if I'm not mistaken.

Inside the cloth was a smooth Firelizard egg. It was rocking back and forth with almost impatience and soon after being taken into hand it would crack, then hatch, the smooth, brown Pureblood body spilling into Frisk's hands. Impression would soon follow as would the strong impulse of 'feed me please!'

Bond! The Eternal Student Male Shore Zaithand. Peace, Be Still. All is Well Male Archangel Starmane, Let Me Rephrase That Male Brown Pureblood Firelizard, and My Burden I Bear Alone Female Compassion Unicorn to Frisk!

The Eternal Student Male Shore Zaithand

Life is big, vast, unlimited in variety and locations and Things To See and Do. You can ask all the questions you want and find all the answers you can and still not unearth even a small percentage of everything.

But that doesn't stop Eternal Student from trying!

Being a Shore Zaithandi it should come as no surprise that he is curious. Thankfully he tempers his curiosity with an innate scientific method. Despite his youth he has learned as one of his first realizations that just asking questions willy-nilly about this, that, and everything that catches his attention actually gets him very little by way of understanding. So he is a firm believer in the Scientific Method. He will choose a topic (sometimes daily) and systematically go through a series of questions, finding out the answers. Repeat the next day. Granted, Eternal Student is also making notes on other subjects during this (for example, while looking up 'rainbows; he might make a note on rain or thunderstorms). Be prepared to have books and papers scattered everywhere!

Eternal Student is a bit of a paunchy Zaithand. While they are jaguar-like as a rule his mostly-sedentary habits - reading, note keeping, perusing bookshelves, listening to experts, etc - have led to him getting a little less exercise than some and keeping very odd hours, not conductive to a trim figure. Thankfully it's not enough to hinder his daily life, just a little more to cuddle. He had his breed's typical webbed paws, spine fin, and shark-finned tail, and in his case being male the dual horns on his face. His hide is primarily a fine, scholarly purple (or so he says) with red badger face markings. His sea-green eyes are always bright with intelligence, even if his lack of grammatical speech might make it seem otherwise.

Peace, Be Still. All is Well Male Archangel Starmane

Extreme weather, uncivilized conflict, even the antics of the IF. There is nothing, and I mean nothing that ruffles this Starmane's ethereal feathers. All is Well is a pillar of calm in a sea of chaos that is more than willing to let others anchor themselves to him. He calmly asses the situation at hoof, determines a course of action, and completes it without any panic. A fearful mind, in his ideology, ultimately leads to a bad end. Only when thinking clearly and rationally can one succeed in any endeavor. Granted he knows that there's a measure of skill and strength involved in any success. So to those who are afraid, lack strength of limb or will, or are hurting, come to him. All is Well will ensure that for you, all is well.

Standing circa six feet tall at the shoulder, All is Well nevertheless is a trim equine figure of wiry muscle under a silver pelt. His light strands and stars are equally silvery, perhaps giving an impression of a diamond come to life that his diamond hooves might only enhance. He tends to keep his six wings hidden unless a particularly powerful display of just who and what he is becomes required in which case he'll flare them out to their full majesty.

Let Me Rephrase That Male Brown Pureblood Firelizard

There are times when everyone puts their foot in their mouth, as the saying goes. Whether intentionally or not words are hard and misunderstandings happen. When it does, Let Me is more than willing to wing in and smooth things over. With imagery and empathy he will explain and rephrase what may have caused offense to soften any blows or clear up any bad feelings. He has a knack for reading people, really. When he can he will warn Frisk of any impending insults but just in case he's ready to help out. Though he does tend to get frustrated when his efforts don't produce any fruit; sometimes verbal cuts are just too deep for him to do anything and to say the least he doesn't like it when that happens; he will sulk for days after.

Let Me is a tiny bit small for his rank at thirty-five inches long. His smooth hide is very deep brown free of any scales or horns, though like all Purebloods dragon or firelizard he needs oiling every now and then to prevent dryness.

My Burden I Bear Alone Female Compassion Unicorn

Being a 'Confession Unicorn' is not always an easy burden to bear. I Bear Alone, as Compassion Unicorns are known to do, has yet to hesitate to answer any call for consultation or to hear a person's final words. However she is a sensitive soul, perhaps far too sensitive for this calling. Often the words weigh on her and as per their creed she never reveals them to others meaning she can't ask for help from those around her. Nightmares are common for I Bear Alone during which she will see bits and pieces of the darker stories she's been told; depression also sometimes claims her for a few days especially after the bad dreams. But at the same time she always smiles, always comforts, always has a gentle word for others. Frisk and those who share Frisk as a Bonded are likely the only ones who know the depth of her struggles with her lot in life and even to them she can reveal nothing; the burdens of being a Compassion Unicorn, for all of its joys, is her own to bear alone.

I Bear Alone is a little bit larger for a Compassion Unicorn at an inch over the five foot average, but who's counting? She has the appearance of a full 'Heraldic Unicorn' with the leonine tail and split rose-gold hooves. Some might at first glance think she is white, but her coat actually has a very pale lavender sheen that reveals its true color under strong light. Her mane and the tuft on her tail, as well as the silky fetlocks that adorn her hooves, are dark berry purple and a matching 'stain' spreads across her back in a large, irregular patch almost like a physical representation of her invisible duty.
