Thalalia and Selvry, along with a very familiar Void Astrum, trailed quietly behind Frisk as they stepped over the threshold of the Veiled Shrine. What is this place? Frisk seems to be awfully familiar with it... Selvry spoke up, his nose twitching anxiously as he looked around. He wasn't sure how much he wanted to go in, if he even decided to go in at all, but there was certainly safety in numbers and he didn't want to linger outside for very long. Caspurr meowed in slight amusement. This is where the two of us first met, of course. Frisk wouldn't be where they are today without me, you know.
He is only joking, Thalalia hummed when Selvry looked a little uncertain as to whether he would buy Caspurr's claims or not. I know that from experience. I am the embodiment of their intelligence and resourcefulness and their drive to learn and understand.
Selvry nodded, seeming convinced by Thalalia's words, though he was still cautious about venturing deeper into the shrine. Frisk had stopped midway, near a pool of water... They seemed to be waiting for something?

(OOC: Spending twenty BP on a Heart equstor, a Swell sweid, a Riverine hippocampus, and an Adoptive kirava family. I already asked Azari to make these. ^^)
Although the general atmosphere of the shrine was as serene and no doubt mystical as ever, there was absolutely nothing subtle about the sudden shift to the setting - it was as though someone had rather abruptly translocated the shrine into a romantic shojo anime movie. Cherry blossom petals drifted in the breeze, swirling in heart-shaped loops, the clouds in the sky so much fluffier and artisanal, while the grass swayed and somehow seemed to glitter.
The source of that glitter soon made herself apparent, leaping from just out of sight in an almost graceful arc, a trail of heart shaped glitter in her wake. HELLOOOOO, HONEYBUNCH, AREN'T YOU JUST THE CUTEST? She practically squeed as she rushed closer to Frisk, only just barely stopping before actually reaching them, clearly wanting to nuzzle them but just about remembering boundaries. I'M FLUFFYHUGS, AND I LOVE YOU - AND I BET THE OTHERS WILL TOO, COME ON OUT EVERYONE!
With that eager cry, it became quite apparent that indeed, the energetic Equstor wasn't the only being around. From within the waters just ahead of Frisk, an equine head emerged, playfully spouting a little water just shy of catching them in the spray. Hello there, are you going to be our new friends? Maybe we should have a picnic. There's certainly enough of us for one.
A light blue head of a distinctly sea serpentesque shape emerged next, peering curiously across at Frisk and their bondeds. I do hope we're not crowding you all? He asked lightly, glancing between them. It would be nice to expand the pod, if you'd have us. There's something about you that just feels right.
As if in agreement, a small trio of glowing bats bobbed into view, young and playful as they darted closer and looped around Frisk's head. The tiny dawn of Kirava flashed their lights excitedly, as if they were all babbling together. They nearly collided with the head of the very being they'd now deemed a likely new member of their family, but none of them seemed too concerned by the prospect of such a crash, perhaps used to that. The longer they danced about Frisk, the more those flashes of light might start to somehow make some kind of sense as a bond was offered up, what seemed like perhaps a name taking shape. Perseverantia, perhaps?
Fragile Things Soft And Small Female Heart Equstor
Mindspeech: ALLCAPS cf0c9d
Like others of her rank, FluffyHugs is arrayed in pink, purple and red. Her relatively pastel pink fur covers most of her body, slightly fluffier than the rest of her, and bearing soft red heart patterns that match her mane and tail. The fur on her face, ears and forelegs is shorter, and a fairly saturated purple.
While she remains enthusiastic in greeting new people - perhaps a little too enthusiastic to make them a part of her new Prism sometimes - FluffyHugs is a more hesitant and highly strung soul than her greetings can make her appear. As the only remaining member of her former Prism since foalhood, she is bound and determined that neither she nor whoever she becomes close with will ever have to be alone again. She'll be among the first to advise caution when trying something new, intent upon protecting those around her, and has a habit of being motherly to a sometimes almost smothering degree if not reined in a little.
While as a Heart she is naturally prone to loving all and sundry, FluffyHugs has a particular attraction to aquatic beings, the pair encountered alongside her at the shrine in particular. She also has a tendency to give those around her affectionate nicknames, and while she tries to respect boundaries, give her indication that you're up for hugs and she'll be in your personal space immediately.
Let's Have A Riverside Picnic Male Riverine Hippocampus
Mindspeech: Italics 9a3816
This slightly rotund freshwater eel Hippocampus in warm browns and slate grey has a laidback, somewhat breezy outlook on life, preferring to look on the bright side and have some snacks than to worry too much about the finer details. In this, he forms something of a counterbalance to the worries of those around him, and will readily try to reassure and comfort those he cares about.
A fondness for food has seen him grow a little more portly than most Riverines, though not by too much, and he advocates regular snacks or extra meals to keep up morale and one's energy, and if need be will remind those around him to take breaks and look after themselves. There might be the occasional practical joke or act of mischief, but he's careful not to go too far.
Come Ride With Me On The Tide Male Swell Sweid
Mindspeech: Bold 2ea6b9
This gentlemanly young adult has a soft and philosophical sort of presence, and is often the mediator of whatever group he finds himself in, attempting to ensure that each side of a story is heard and listened to before a judgement call is made. He values fairness and consideration highly, though he's willing to concede that occasional lighthearted pranks can be a source of harmless fun, so long as those pranking are careful to make sure they stay harmless.
It is his pleasure to take leisurely swims with those he considers his podmates, whether they're swimming alongside him or riding atop his back. What matters isn't where they're going, it's the journey, and that they take it on together. Steadfast, though he rarely stirs to impassioned flares of action, he will go to whatever lengths are necessary for his pod.
Much of his body is a light, cheerful blue of the sort that could be considered a good hue to use for a sky. Atop his back, there is a sizeable patch of pale grey, roughly matching the hue of his underside, while small patches of a slightly darker blue speckle his fins, ears and tailtip.
Hearts Strong As Horses Adoptive Kirava
The Perseverantia family aren't yet quite full grown, a trio of adolescents originally from different dawns who came together after an unexpectedly forceful blizzard separated them from their original groups. Leaning on one another for support, their sheer force of determination that they can get through anything together has come a long way from their first uncertain latching on.
These adoptive sisters had a lot of struggles to get through figuring out who they were together, launching themselves into ill-advised adventures and getting covered in treesap far too often. No matter how disastrously their exploits went, though, they learned that they always had one another's backs, just as if they'd been born to the same dawn, and they never hesitated to keep on trying. Now that they feel they know who they are, and love who they are, they have a strong desire to help others to find who they are as well, to aid them on their own journeys of self discovery - and adopt them into the family if possible.
Frisk's eyes lit up and they were more than happy to throw their arms around the Equstor's neck in a hug, their little tail wagging as much as it was able even despite the fact that Fluffyhugs only seemed to have one volume and that wasloud. But they'd dealt with energetic and excited people before so they didn't mind that she was a good deal louder than the others that had chosen to show up and greet them. They released their hold on Fluffyhugs for just a moment to wave happily in greeting to the two aquatic beings that made their appearances, already giggling as they were splashed with a bit of the water that had come from the seemingly equally playful hippocampus.
There were so many of them but Frisk was hardly overwhelmed as they beamed at the sweid - they'd never seen anything like him before though they vaguely remembered some announcement about a new type of creature being discovered in the waters, and they could only assume that he was one of these new beings. It's wonderful to meet you, Fluffyhugs, they signed before tapping a finger against their cheek thoughtfully as they turned their gaze to both hippocampus and sweid - they both needed names, if they recalled correctly. It took a few moments but eventually they had decided on Spritz for the hippocampus and Nelan for the sweid.
As for the the equally energetic trio of kirava, Frisk was more than happy to let them perch on their shoulders and head if they so wished, though the flashes were beginning to slowly but steadily make sense. Perseverantia, huh? It sounded as though it was linked to perseverance, which in turn was linked to determination. And naturally they wished to give the little bats names in order to distinguish them from one another, and each name was administered with a playful boop to each kirava's nose: Belle. Bloom. Scoots.
With everyone named, it was time for the much larger group to begin heading back home, with Frisk sticking to a route that they knew would be easier for their aquatic friends to travel along as it boasted a decently-sized river. Caspurr was informing the new arrivals of what to expect when they returned, Selvry sticking close to Frisk's side. At least the kirava weren't that much bigger than him in comparison, though having them around would take some getting used to.
