Emboldened by a recent conversation, Ashen had decided to take the plunge and venture into the village proper. He still felt somewhat exposed and out of place - it was hard not to be aware that there weren't all that many buglike beings visible at the moment - but the slight warm weight of Snowdrop atop his head was comforting.
Thankfully, it seemed that he hadn't been steered wrong - so far, while he'd garnered some understandably curious looks, nobody had taken fright or offence to his presence. In fact, he'd been wished a happy holiday by one or two passers by. Reassured, if feeling more than a little foolish, he set himself to exploration, intending to learn the lay of the land.
Partway through this process, he overheard something that caught his interest. So, there was a charity drive ongoing, and toys were sought? An idea lit like a lumafly awaking in its lantern above his head, and he made a hasty detour back to the burrow. The toys he and the others had made to while away the blizzard could actually be useful to someone!
Fawnfrost's fond amusement at his excitement wasn't lost on him, nor Agata and Mitsuke's clear curiosity about the little dragonlike creature within the basket of his horns. He wasn't entirely sure how clearly he'd managed to explain himself, wings buzzing a little, but no matter - they'd offered up what extras they weren't personally attached to readily enough, he could ponder why it felt as though he was being indulged later.
His newest companion seemed to think this was all quite a lark, broadcasting gleeful enjoyment with each chirp and chitter she voiced - and she voiced a fair few of those. He almost got the sense she wanted him to go faster, but he wasn't sure that was a great idea in the village itself. He knew it wasn't much, when he was able to hand in the cobbled together toys he'd carried there in his arms, but if something he and his new found family of sorts had made could help someone in whatever little way... Well, that was more than worth his while.
