Although their curiosity tugged at them like an overeager sibling, Moth had not immediately set about exploring the results of the weather's unusual (to them) gift. It was important to look after those who looked after one's self - they were small, but even they knew that. Unfortunately, most of their companions were very much affected by the cold that seeped in like water into cloth.
They hadn't known this before, but apparently reptiles like snakes were quite lethargic in the cold, and it was best to let them rest. Being a creature of the void themself, Moth was actually quite comfortable in the cold and the dark, but they didn't want their friends to get too cold. Fortunate that Auntie Jun was good at looking after people - what would they have done without her and her funny little assistants?
Once they'd washed off the dirt from digging a little den for the winged serpents to rest in, Moth found themself being coaxed into trying on a garment apparently by the name 'sweater'. Admittedly, the concept of a sweater was unfamiliar, particularly as bugs didn't sweat, but the idea of making something warming to wear was understandable enough.
They weren't sure when Jun had found the time to make this - possibly while they'd been hunting? It was a thorough work, for all its strangeness. There were holes for their wings to slip through without being crumpled, and there was a button-up addition to the neck hole that helped them to get their entire head through without their horns getting caught. All in all, they loved it, completely ignoring the fact that it was a mixture of some less than pleasant shades of green as they hugged Jun to demonstrate their thanks.
Spurred on by their new Auntie's gift, Moth did their best to join Jun in trying to make noodly sweaters for the trio of reptiles. To tell the truth, they weren't very good at it, with their stubby little baby claws, but they were giving it a good go, spurred on by their Auntie's encouragement. The results weren't very pretty, but they didn't have to be, did they?
