I Hate The Snow

Challenge 2 - Describe your character in an Ugly Sweater and what activity they do while wearing it.
The Holiday Season was a time that Nadira Todd thought was stupid, even more so when she was put into a sweater that reminded her of Titus' vomit. She did not like the idea of wearing a sweater that was red and green everywhere with a horrific reindeer on the front, the thing looked like a three year old had decided the pattern. Nadira didn't know why she'd agreed to take part in this contest but she wouldn't back out now that she was here and she was going to see this event through to the end, that meant just accepting her fate and doing what she was meant to be doing. She sighed heavily and walked up on stage to get the damn sweater judged even if it didn't make much sense to the girl.

Challenge 4 - What wintery miracle does your character experience?

She was just starting to settle into not having her family there and that she'd have to get used to not seeing them or any of them really being there. Then she saw Damian's son, he was only a boy of about eight but he was a member of her family she squealed as she ran to him. The winter snows had settled and she was getting to see that someone of her family was here, her nephew and someone she wanted to see, Ras Wayne as he'd chosen to be called.

"Come on Ras let's get home and get you settled in and warm, I'd love to get you adjusted to being here and to allow you some time to be at a new home." She said excitedly as she looked at her family member that was there.

Challenge 6 - What craft does your character do for the season

Nadira was never very crafty and now was no different, she sat down with paper and scissors and began doing her level best to make snowflakes out of paper with Ras at her side doing the same. Together they worked out how to decorate the place with the rather oddly shaped snowflakes some of hers didn't even stick together right so she just hung them up anyway. The paper snowflakes should have been prettier but that didn't matter really since they weren't at home like they had been before.

Challenge 8 - YOU just received a Secret Santa gift! What is it, and what do you do to try and find out who sent it, if you hunt for them?

When she woke in the morning to a small box, she stared at it for several minutes trying to figure it out. The layer of snow outside was enough to deter her from going out but she was now determined to figure it out, she didn't see a name so she began to scan the thing in other ways. Her caution came from not knowing anyone in this place and not wanting to make any enemies or kill something on accident, when she opened the box it was a set of crochet hooks and a supply of yarn. Something to get her started on doing better crafts with what she'd chosen to do, she was determined to allow herself to adjust to the fact someone had known her enough to send that kind of gift.

"All right you bastard who ever you are I am going to find you and I will make sure that I get you." She muttered as she began to work out who could possibly have given her this gift, the mystery was going to drive her crazy and that meant she wanted to get to the bottom of it. She worked with Batman and what was going to happen now that she was here in this new land she had to make do without any of the technology she was used to and she was going to survive this as best as she was able because she wanted to not have mysteries presented to her.

Nadira left with the few clues she had and began asking around town trying to figure out who could have sent this gift when she wasn't even part of the Weyr or even part of the City really. She was not aware of the fact that there were things the IF did sometimes to mess with people like her.

Challenge 10 - What does your character find beneath the northern lights?

The lights that filled the sky had Nadira heading out to investigate them, she headed towards the light and smiled as she went to see what the fuss was about. Just because it was a new world with something she was used to she went out to see it and then followed the lead of others that took up towards the lights, what she found beneath the light was a letter written by her father. A handful of other letters too from the family, that was enough for her to rush back home and begin to go through the letters, the one from her father was how much he missed her. The one from Bruce was about the fact her father had been mopey and he needed her back before Jason lost his mind for good, the one that really touched her though was from her elder half brother Damian the father of Ras. The fact that Damian had written her at all was enough to bring tears to her eyes and normally she wasn't like that she was more of a tough kind of personality so when things made her soft it bothered her to a great degree and she wanted to do better than that now that she had someone there to take care of.
