It hadn't been long since they'd been here with Bonnet, but Lolbit had felt the urge lately to go and visit the shrine again. As usual it took the shape of a cave, its glimmering crystals casting strange lights upon their smooth robotic shell as they stepped inside for what was unlikely to be the last time. Clevo and Lanix had been more than welcome to join them, but the two had opted to stay behind this time in favor of keeping an eye on things back at their home and of course on those whom had chosen to stay behind as well rather than accompany Lolbit and Bonnet to the shrine. So far, their company only consisted of Neriath, who followed Bonnet everywhere since she'd first hatched, and Cipher who'd been very eager to come seek out some of her fellow fox friends, her bonded included.
I hope we find some kitsunes out here, I'm sure they'll be a wonderful addition to our family, Cipher exclaimed happily. Lolbit smiled at her in return, as much as they could anyway given their facial movements were limited aside from being able to open their faceplates. Though they might not encounter kitsune here like she hoped, they did know at least that they would meet someone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (OOC: Spending fifteen BP on a Shield Gargoyle, a Dagger Meowlure, and a Lake Zaithand.)
((Kay edit: Just making a note here that the BP has already been deducted from Shy's total.))
Lolbit's instincts would be right on par for this trip to the Shrine. The weather would be fair and no unanticipated tricks from the IF would impede their journey.
Though just as the Shrine was peaceful, so to would it be crowded. Primarily by the hulking Gargoyle that took up most of the space along one wall even though she was laying down on her stomach with her arms folded propping herself up. A Meowlure would be laying on his back beside her up against her arm, eyes closed and tail tapping a casual beat, forepaws tucked behind his head. And seated at the pool itself, staring into its waters with the reflected light glistening off her face, was a Zaithand. It was the water-cat who first addressed them, though she still looked at the water as her Mindvoice entered their thoughts.
Knows you would come. She finally looked at Lolbit, smiling and utterly unsurprised by their arrival. Happys to meet you much. At her Mindspeaking the Meowlure opened his eyes and a broad smile came to his face.
Ah! He hopped to his boots and hurried up to Lolbit, giving a small bow at the waist. Whenever you're ready, I'm set to go!
The Gargoyle didn't speak, but did give a kind expression and a slow nod of her head, rising to her feet and shaking off some of the dust.
Bond! Wise as Ancient Trees Female Shield Gargoyle, I'm Off on an Adventure! Male Dagger Meowlure, and Visions in the Waters Female Lake Zaithand to Lolbit!
************************ Wise as Ancient Trees Female Shield Gargoyle
Mindspeech: Bold #6f3f36
Ancient Trees is an old Gargoyle, even among her long-lived kind. She's seen a lot, good and bad, and that has given her a very wise outlook on things. She's a hard one to make angry, doesn't jump to conclusions, and when she's does speak - a rarity as it is to hear her rumbling, often slow Mindvoice - she never says anything she hasn't considered greatly. Catch her in a cooperative mood and you can find out a whole history of often-forgotten or hard-to-find lore. She is a bit unique in that while most Gargoyles pick more man-made structures to take as their special protectorate, Ancient Trees favors the wild, deep woodlands, places where mortal kind rarely steps and the shadows beneath the boughs lays heavy. There is a spirit to those places, she claims, and it is in harmony with her own. But never forget that she is a Gargoyle, a powerful creature of stone. Threaten the woodlands, or her Bonded, and she will show you that when her fury is unleashed she hits with all the might of the primordial forests at her back and no fortress of stone cold and hard will stand against her.
Those who meet Ancient Trees have to admit she's a lovely gargoyle. Her body has bands of white and varying shades of gray and black, including blue-gray, like a gneiss rock with folded strata, smooth and cool to the touch. She is a few centimeters taller than her rank's average of five feet and is just as barrel-chested and narrow-hipped. She typically keeps her wing folded upon her back though will lightly spread them in a protective gesture when offering comfort or more aggressively flare them to warn others to step carefully. Her deep, forest green eyes make a striking contrast in this kind of setting.
I'm Off on an Adventure! Male Dagger Meowlure
Mindspeech: Color #2860ab
On an Adventure, at first pass, might just strike an onlooker as being a total homebody. He enjoys relaxing in a soft chair before a crackling fire with family and friends around and always comments about how nice it is to return after a trip to the market. But then, something beyond domestic grocery runs beckons and he transforms into another feline entirely! A quest...journey...thing lies ahead and he's just the one to help get it done, because if not him then who will? He's needed for this, just you wait and you'll see! Granted, he's a young Meowlure, newly given his boots and blade and thus often more confident in his abilities and intelligence than he's capable of. He can be clumsy, knocking things over at the worst times, and get himself into situations that he'll likely need rescuing from. But if you just give him a chance and help every now and then, it's certain that On an Adventure will find his stride and gain the spoils of battle he earns.
On an Adventure is a handsome feline to say the lease, somewhat like a Lilac Somali cat in coloration with light cream fur mottled with shades of brown and dusty purple-gray on his long, plush tail. To touch his fur is to feel a very, very soft creature. His ears are notably large and nicely triangular and his gold-green eyes are almond-shaped. His boots suits his stealthy approach to battle as they have soft, flexible tops that rise up to his thighs, secured snuggle by laces and bands at above the feet and soles that bend and flex around the ground he walks upon. He always carries a single dagger at his hip, a fine weapon with a dark leather, twisting grip and a yellow gem set in a simple silver loop. It's crossguard almost resembles a star with two long 'rays' forming the protection for his hand. Delicate filigree decorates the blade itself, hinting at the graceful stitchwork that decorates the sheath, which itself is capped in silver at the locket and chape.
Visions in the Waters Female Lake Zaithand
Mindspeech: Italics #46cbcb
In the gentle depths of the water comes visions, images of what may be or what will be, to the eyes of Visions in the Waters. Blessed with the power of foresight, this female Lake only has to peer into a pool of still water, anything from a bowl to a calm lake, to get glimpses of the future. It doesn't happen all the time, granted, but when it does she always pays close attention no matter how horrific it may be (thankfully, she sees as much joy as she does sorrow). She is a gracefully confident, wise creature, calm and serene in most all crisis even when others around her are fretful. Some might say that she has an ethereal way about her and that her eyes can look right through you into your soul if she wants to. Certainly her gaze seems to see the world around her and something beyond it at the same time. She can be a bit awe-inspiring, but above all she is kind, understanding, and patient. That is until she's pushed to her breaking point. Then she's as terrible, yet still beautiful, as a powerful queen and woe to those who try to stand before her.
Visions in the Water is a very pale green, five-feet-tall Zaithand with an equally pale, icy blue sheen to her that gives her an aura, a glow akin to a pearl's luster especially in soft light. Her eyes are brilliant, deep blue.
Mutation: Arcane Script – Foresight Visions when looking into water.
((I bought the Arcane script, because my Muse demanded it lol!))
Bonnet's jaw dropped when she saw the massive gargoyle that waited among their new friends. She glanced at Neriath then, wondering if she would get that big, and Neriath let out a playful giggle but didn't say anything. They would both find out for themselves sooner or later. Lolbit moved forward to greet their new friends, their tail wagging in delight. Though Cipher seemed just a little disappointed that there were no foxes waiting for them after all, it didn't stop her from greeting their new companions on this unexpected but not unwelcome journey herself.
Names would come somewhat more easily to the vulpine animatronic, at least for the Zaithand and Meowlure that had been patiently waiting for their arrival. After a moment of debate as to which would fit them better, Lolbit would eventually settle on Syntax for the Meowlure that seemed so eager to start their adventure together and Sequence for the seemingly all-knowing Zaithand who had initially greeted them. When it came to the large gargoyle though, Lolbit hesitated. They were fairly certain that gargoyle names had names they preferred and they certainly didn't want to offend her. It was hard to keep everything straight sometimes, despite being robotic in nature and therefore by all rights should be easily able to pull up that information.
Bonnet, seeing this, nudged Lolbit and whispered "Gargoyle names have to have something to do with protection." Lolbit gave her a grateful look and then turned their attention back to the gargoyle before hesitantly venturing the name Firewall, as in the barrier of protection against viruses and malware.
