Frisk had come back to the Veiled Shrine after what seemed like an eternity between visits, Caspurr an ever-present...well, presence at their side and Henrietta perched on their shoulder. They hadn't changed much since their arrival - their horns were a bit bigger and they had grown somewhat, but even then they hadn't given up on at least seeing their family again. They'd managed to figure out how to send letters to their family letting them know that they were safe, though, and they would occasionally receive letters from their human family as well as pictures. The question of whenever they were going to be able to come back home, though, was still up in the air. They missed their parents terribly and Frisk did occasionally still cry themself to sleep when the pain got to be too much for them to bear.
If only they could go back one last time, to see their parents in person... Humans lived much shorter lifespans than monsters and Frisk would likely never be able to forgive themself if they weren't there for their mother and father in their old age.

(OOC: Spending fifteen BP on a Tributary Zaithand, a Spirit Familiar, and a White Mottle Fire Lizard. I'm also using their Pink Ribbon token to claim a Charity Unicorn.)
((Kay edit: Just making a note here that the BP has already been deducted from Shy's total.))
Homesickness wasn't something unfamiliar to many Teragaia residents, and Frisk might be surprised how many came to the Shrine feeling just that way. Perhaps it was Aeon calling to them, hoping to offer some comfort in the form of companionship, or perhaps it was the creatures themselves. Whatever the case would be there wouldn't be any hesitation for the group to see who had wandered into the sacred place at the same time.
The first would be in no way hesitant to pad up to Frisk and drop down onto his belly, looking up at the goat monster with perfect big, adorable eyes.
I cans comes home with you? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeese? And he'd offer a token, a simple hemp necklace with a single Zaithand tooth on it.
Bond! Adorable and I Know It Male Tributary Zaithand ...
Perhaps the next wouldn't immediately register as a Bondable creature at all, more a random, floating collection of shimmering multicolor lights that would dance around Frisk – the keen of hearing would swear they'd heard a laugh – before zipping through their chest and tumbling out the other side as a creature of pure fantasy and run, bounding and leaping and somersaulting like an acrobat as the Familiar continued her circling play!
Hehehe, I finally found you!
... and The Playful Acrobat Female Spirit Familiar, Lila…
Close on the Familiar's proverbial heels, a White Mottle Firelizard would start flying in loops the other way, looking at Frisk while bombarding them with imagery and emotions that said 'you're amazing! So beautiful! You're my favorite person ever! And what a perfect Athid! And such a cute Astrum!'
...and The Excitable Biologist Female White Mottle Firelizard…
The final being present would wait until the others settled down, seemingly affectionately amused by their antics as he rested by the Pool. But the Unicorn would finally stand, shaking her mane a bit before drawing near and resting her horn upon Frisk's shoulder... with something hanging from it. A diamond-like quartz with faint dusting of gray-blue glimmering with it would be the pendant on a silver chain, and this would be gently slid down upon her new Bonded's neck and shoulders after the unicorn gave her token gesture of loyalty.
I have kept this pendant for a long time, she Mindspoke, and now I understand why I kept it. I can sense you are homesick. This will allow you to see and communicate with those you love, as an image before you. At the moment it cannot allow touch, but I understand that there may be some who could strengthen its enchantment, if you were to seek them out. Perhaps it will not help, but I hope it may.
...and If Not Us then Who? Hope Giver Female Charity Unicorn to Frisk!

Adorable and I Know It Male Tributary Zaithand
Mindspeech: Color=#eea996
Ah, those big puppy-dog eyes, staring up at you from a face bearing an expression of adoration and hopeful want for whatever you happen to have or whatever they want in that moment in life, impossible to resist for many.
Now put that expression on an autumn-colored water-cat, and you have I Know It in a nutshell. This Zaithand has those perfect cherubic features and body language that endears him to those around him and often gets him his way or whatever he wants. Be it food, attention, cuddles, a place in your bed, a new trinket or toy or other object... there are few who can resist his charms for long, and he well knows it. Thankfully, he's not malicious with his manupulative streak, or the entire weyr would likely be in trouble!
Like other Tributary Zaithand I Know It sports a primary brown pelt with gold and reddish highlights. In his case his pelt is a mottling of shades all shades of brown that fade from one to another smoothly, overlain with thin ripples of gold and brown-red lines. It almost gives him the appearance of sunlight through fall-garbed trees onto a leaf-laden lawn. Add into that big baby blue eyes and you have a face anyone could fall in love with.

The Playful Acrobat Female Spirit Familiar, Lila
Mindspeech: Italics #fb3fc4
Some Familiars are born with wings, and able to soar among the clouds. Others, however, are formed more terrain-bound and can only do so in their dreams.
Well, The Playful Acrobat rejects that reality and puts in her own! She can to fly very well, thank you very much!
Ok, perhaps only in the most broad sense is it flying. The Playful Acrobat is just as she seems, an acrobat. She loves to tumble and leap, flipping midair and bounding from high point to high point in daredevil moves that might cause some fright to those unaware of her particular talents. She simply loves it so much, and also loves it when her antics cause others delight as well. She'll happily put on shows for any who want to watch only asking applause in return.
In terms of physical appearance The Playful Acrobat is certainly a creature based off of someone's flight of fancy. She's a small creature, a nice package to carry about in one arm, with short very pale pink fur. Darker pink lines trace her back, around her eyes, and over her very long ears like some kind of runes, and her thin tail – about as long as her body – is tipped by three feather-like adornments. A long plume of fur starts just above her muzzle and extends beyond the back of her head. Feathery frills line the back of her forelegs and runs down her spine, and she can flex them in relation to her mood or what she thinks about things. They and her markings also tend to shimmer when she tumbles around in a rainbow of colors.
((The image was the inspiration, but just imagine the frills in place lol!))

The Excitable Biologist Female White Mottle Firelizard
Though a great number of creatures on Teragaia are those that form Bonds there are naturally those that are of a more mundane nature, simple creatures who live wild lives separate from civilization. As they never use Mindspeech to communicate those who want to learn more about them have to study them.
One of those is the Excitable Biologist. She simply adores learning about nature, about the animals that thrive in the chaos of Teragaia and the IF without the protection and influence of others. She'll venture out into any environment just to watch and take notes on their movements, interactions, behaviors, and how they impact their habitats. Then when she returns she'll bombard you with images and joyful chittering and squeaks, sharing every second of thrilling excitement that she felt in every discovery. Every creature is gorgeous to her, every one her favorite and seen as if for the first time. A small downside of her excitement is that she'll easily be sidetracked by whatever happens to catch her eye, darting off towards it to see what that beautiful creature is doing at that exact moment. She'll always come home eventually, at least.
Thankfully her Mottle heritage helps her out quite well in her ecological endeavors. Though she is majority covered in white hide small scales form wave lines and bands in blue and green both on her back and on her underside, helping to camouflage her a bit in shaded foliage, though she's certainly not above using mud and grass to make her own ghillie suit when need be.

If Not Us then Who? Hope Giver Female Charity Unicorn
Mindspeech: Italics #52ea48
Everyone's had those moments when they've witnessed someone else in the world in some kind of need, whether it's a tiny need like a couple of cents to finish a purchase or something considerably more pressing like a good meal after days going without. There are some who would walk on by, not out of any kind of malice per say but more that 'someone else will do something. Surely someone else will.' Sometimes the need feels so great that it daunts the onlooker – how could one person make any difference?
Well, If Not Us says that if we aren't the ones to act, then who will? Why not us? After all for darkness to win in the world those of good heart simply have to do nothing, stand aside and let it happen. While she's aware that not everyone can do everything she believes that each person has something, big or small, that they can do to help improve the world around them especially when it comes to their fellow dwellers in this life. All you have to do it be willing to try, and reach out a hand. Don't worry if you're nervous; she'll help you along.
Slightly smaller in statue than average for her kind If Not Us stands four feet tall at the shoulder. To look at her might give the initial impression of a sunrise as she's a gentle pastel yellow with pale pink gracing her legs, belly, and throat with pale lavender dusting over her back. By contrast her mane and tail are more reminiscent of sunset as each lock is a different shade of rich purple, red, golden yellow, dusty pink and maroon, and deep blues. Perhaps it's an homage to her nature of charity from dawn to dusk. With these colors it makes her opal horn and hooves stand out quite beautifully. It is around her horn that her Hope Giver mutation has made itself known as it is as if a twist of pink ribbon was hung delicately on her horn, the trailing ends draping down her nose and falling aside beneath each emerald eye.
Frisk was startled but somehow not unsurprised by the presence of the other beings, a small smile creeping up onto their muzzle despite the lingering sorrow they felt in missing their human family. They reached out to pet the Zaithand, accepting the gift he handed them and managing to get it around their neck. Maybe with time they would able to add more to the simple necklace - a feather here, a shed scale there, and so forth. You ask that like I could actually say no to you, Posie, they signed, no small amount of affection in their eyes. Indeed. Welcome aboard, we're happy to have you, Caspurr purred out, seeming mildly amused.
They hadn't exactly been prepared for Lila's entrance, but the feeling of joy and playfulness that welled up inside of Frisk as their bond with her became solidified was already much better than the overwhelming feelings of homesickness from before. Hello to you too, Lila. It's wonderful to finally be able to meet you in person.
If Athid could blush, Henrietta certainly would have as Frisk carefully translated the white mottle's imagery and emotions to the best of their ability. It was going to be much livelier with this little fire lizard around, that much was for certain. But maybe that wasn't such a bad thing, considering that their home was quite lively already. No doubt she would fit right in with the rest of their unusual menagerie.
Frisk thought for several moments, trying to determine what would best suit the new and clearly very excitable flit before their eyes brightened. There could be only one name for her, one befitting her sense of wonderment and eagerness to learn and discover new things. I'll call you Curi, short for curiosity. Is that okay?
The white mottle bobbed her head as if in agreement, and honestly that was good enough for Frisk as they turned their attention to the singular unicorn who up until now had yet to move from her spot by the pool in the shrine. They didn't cry often, but they could feel their eyes growing wet with tears and trickling into their fur as she bestowed the pendant upon them and informed them of its use. They hugged her around the neck, burying their face briefly in her fur. No words could appropriately describe the gift she had given them, no amount of 'thank yous' would ever be enough. Finally they had the chance to reconnect with their family back home.
When they finally let go of her, they wiped their eyes and gave her a smile. I can't thank you enough for this - though I love my life here, I miss my family more and more with each passing day. Elanti, I am very grateful for your gift and for bonding to me. That goes for all of you. You've given me hope and friendship and love, even while I was a stranger to this world, and I can't ask for anything more. I can't wait to introduce you to my mom and dad.
