Personality: Unlike their siblings, Shimmer was not one to make the climb and so was able to survive the mass infanticide perpetuated by the Pale King. His was a cold, unfeeling light that they recognized as being a harbinger of death while the Radiance’s light blinded the greedy. Shimmer did not want any part of that - they want to redefine what light means for the citizens of Hallownest, to prove that it could be gentle and welcoming, a beacon of safety and hope. They had become such for the few siblings able to resist the call of the Pale King’s light, using their own to shelter their family and protect them. A compassionate soul, Shimmer is quick to take pity on any weary traveler lost in the dark and willing to guide them to a safe place. Because of this, they have earned the nickname ‘Little Wisp’ from those who do not know their name. This goal has not changed since entering Teragaia, as their siblings here need their protection just as much as they did back in the abyss.
