Edrei was used to teleporting- it was the main mode of transportation for warriors of light in Eorzia, after all, using the aetherite network.
She wasn't used to appearing in an entirely different place that intended.. and with no returning aetherite in sight.
Still, she wouldn't let that get her too down; Edrei was an adventurous sort and her life had been rather dull as of late. So, there she stood, hands on hips as she peered over the large structure before her. It looked not entirely unlike something she might find back home, but still it wasn't anything she recognized.. and the large circular pool of water that sat in the center pulled her in curiously. She tapped a finger to her chin and sighed, shaking her head. Even the minion that had been following her was nowhere to be seen..
ooc: A short one, claiming my free 2* of shinies!
I'd like to claim a male Silinrul Caradras and a female Mostri Volantil please! If possible a surprise mutation for each would be cool, otherwise no preference.
If Edrei was such an adventurous sort, well, she'd find Teragaia the perfect local! But unlike some who found their fates pulled to the often topsy-turvy world she'd start her journey with a couple of companions who might be able to help her graspthe tricky bits. Like the IF. You know, the thing that was currently causing a reversal of 'fire' and 'water' in the Weyr. (Lunch might be a little late.)
The first creature was curled up dozing a couple of feet from the pool in the shade, so it wasn't much surprise that it might have gotten momentarily overlooked. That is until it moved, lifting its canid head and blinking highly reflective eyes, yawning once and revealing very sharp teeth and a long tongue before emerging fully into the light. Winged forelimbs, canine head and back limbs clearly denoted a predator despite being only about a yard in total height when it stood fully upright. But it wasn't looking at the newcomer as lunch. Cat-like eyes narrowed to slits then expanded as a delighted grin barred those fangs.
Your mine! she declared firmly, no doubts about it, as she hurried forward to butt her head briefly but powerfully before bouncing around her in a joyous display ending in a loud howl!
Bond! The Protective Brick Female Mostri Volantil to Edrei!
The Volantil's celebration almost covered up the brisk arrival of a second creature, his claws making a light clicking on the stone floor to announce him.
Sorry I'm late, ma'am! came the cheeky Mindspeech voice from a young adult Caradras, ball-tipped tail flicking behind him as he stopped and stood at attention. Was just doing a spot of advanced scouting, you see. Learning the lay of the land and all, and I bloody well list track of time. Won't happen again, ma'am! Did manage to arrange for a bit of lodging for the night though. Carpenter's place about half way between here and Haven Village. The Caradras snorted softly at the still-growling Volantil, tail coming around to wave at her scoldingly. And there's little point to be hissing at me, young gel.
She's Mine! the Volantil barked, literally and figuratively.
Ours, you mean, was the unruffled reply. But nothing to worry about! I'm sure between the two of us we can keep our Bonded safe from the ruffians of the world, wot? The ball on the end of his tail opened and scissor-like blades clicked against one another. The Volantil stopped growling, tipping her head one way then the other, then nodded in agreement, suddenly perfectly alright with the Caradras' presence.
The male gave Edrei a discreet wink, then closed his tail ball and stamped top attention again.
Ready to head out on your orders, ma'am!
Bond! Crystal Horn, Silver Tongue, Deal Maker Male Silinrul Caradras to Edrei!
((Alright, I have no idea why when I was writing his words Silver Tongue ended up sounding like Basil Stag-Hare from the Redwall Series. Can provide reference YouTube clip lol)))
Crystal Horn, Silver Tongue, Deal Maker Male Silinrul Caradras
Mindspeech: Italics #05ea02
Crystal Horn, Silver Tongue, Deal Maker is one of those individuals that very likely makes his superiors in the Legion want to butt their heads against a very hard object or stamp a hoof in frustrated resignation. As a 'traditional' hunter he's only so-so. He can help drive prey well enough but lacks the ferocity and instinctive reaction for the killing blow. But just as other Silinrul are expected to provide more than just food so too does he have other talents to bring into play. Namely he's an expert as cold reading people, using observations and a little bit of casual, surprisingly friendly conversation to uncover exactly what they need or want the most. Then, through a number of other deals if need be, he provides their desires often with a bonus or at a solid discount for his hard work. This effectiveness otherwise would earn him high praise from those in charge save for how Silver Tongue has a tendency to flirt the line between respectful and insolent, rattling off a cheeky 'yes sir!' when given orders and fulfilling said orders in his own way which may not always be the way he was told to. In general he tends to just get under their hides, especially if they lack a sense of humor. Several admittedly breathed a sigh of relief when he made for the Veiled Shrine. Maybe Edrei won't mind his 'ma'am yes ma'am!' quite so much?
At first glance Silver Tongue appears like your typical Caradras with the almost hybrid dragon-unicorn body shape. He has our lengthy legs and a deep chest, powerful muscles in his shoulders supporting draconic wings and an arcing neck ending in a delicate head. His legs end in paws with claws and his brow bears a jagged crystal horn. His hide is very deep red with the underside of his wings being a shade lighter. His horn is equally deep purple to match his claws and his eyes are a golden orange. But it is in his whippy tail that there is something clearly different about him. Where at the end should be a sharp scythe blade is instead a large club-like ball of scaled flesh. Born with this mutation, those around him at first debated whether or not he could be of use to the Legion. Then as a young Caradras he whipped his tail through the air, and the 'ball' separated into four segments like an opening flower to show a spearhead or petal-shaped blade within. Then, second surprise, the blade split into two parts and snapped against one another like scissors! Certainly a nasty surprise for anyone who thinks that Silver Tongue is helpless in a fight. His dark purple mane and firelock are quite long, unshorn as is traditional, and quite well highlights the assorted green feathers he wears there.
Bone Talisman Mutation: Double Sheathed Tail Blades

The Protective Brick Female Mostri Volantil
Mindspeech: Bold Italics #7792b6
Quite the towering hulk, Protective Brick is vicious, fierce, protective as a mother dragon (especially over Edrei, Ederi's other Bondeds, Ederi's potential future mate and children, etc), can hold grudges like no one's business, and one other thing meant with the utmost kindness and sincerity:
Dumb as a box of rocks.
In her own way this Mostri is rather clever. She understands that Edrei doesn't like raw meat, and the value of storing back extra for future need. She understands friends from enemies when it's made clear and doesn't forget who is which easily, and in battle situations is actually a rather terrifying tactician even if most of her tactics are variations in 'rush in and do add much damage as possible.' But she will never ever remotely be a collegiate scholar. Without someone to guide her she can be fooled rather easily, though finding out she was tricked is a sure way to invoke her ire and cause the trickster quite a bit of pain (remember what was said about grudges). As if a Volantil isn't terribly terrifying already Protective Brick carries an unseen mutation, the ability to create a defensive barrier like a massive bubble around herself and anyone she shelters under her wings or carries on her back. Called upon by instinct it only canwithstand a hit or two from an average opponent (maybe more from a weak enemy or less from a stronger one) but she's learned to use it effectively.
From canid head filled with flesh-rending teeth and blood-drinking tongue to the leather-winged forelegs to the equally canid back legs and powerful tail, Protective Brick is a hulking ten feet tall creature of solid muscle. Her pointed ears stand upright on her head and her thick fur is patterned like a maned wolf. This means that the bulk of her is varying shades of rusty red-orange with her hind legs and wings tapering to black, a black patch on the base of her neck, and her muzzle is also black offset by a white throat.
To say Edrei was surprised by the sudden appearance of the Volantil was an understatement- but as she watched the large creature get up and yawn she paused her reaction, a smile slowly spreading on her face as she saw the eyes dilatate.. something she recognized all too well from her Miqo'te friends back home. This creature was happy to see her! Letting out a joyful laugh as the Mostri leaped forward to affectionately headbutt the large woman, she ruffled the dark fur along her neck for a moment before she bounded off and howled.
Of course, just moments later the clacking on the stone floor brought her attention to the side as she watched yet another curious creature approach, this one much more talkative as he seemed to explain his late arrival and then face off slightly with the protective nature of the first to arrive- though it seemed easily settled.
Laughing and putting her hands on her hips, Edrei couldn't help but shake her head in amusement. "What a welcome party! Back where I'm from creatures like you two would have tried to tear me to shreds. I think I might prefer this place to Eorzia.. well, then, lets get heading towards that lodging you were speaking of, eh?"
ooc// It seemed kinda strange to put the naming in there since she would take a little time to realize she needed to name them so I'll just put the names here, if thats okay!
The Mostri Volantil will be called Tymbwaht (Dumb Guard)and the Silinrul Caradras will be Sylbstymm (Silver Voice), both named in the traditional Sea Wolf Roegadyn way. Which hilariously enough Edrei is not named in.. whoops.
