She couldn't place what had called her back to this dilapidated structure, though this time she hadn't come alone. Her newest addition to her squad, Fitch, had joined her though she was sure to keep an eye on him in case he decided to step out of line. With Xyl there was no question of loyalty, at least for the moment with how dedicated he seemed to be in serving her, but Fitch was more of a wild card and she didn't trust him alone with the hippocampus. So here they were.
Ignoring his irritated mumblings about her wasting time, Fait scanned the area carefully for anything that seemed out of place. Her lekku twitched at every small sound and her hand never strayed too far from her weapon. Perhaps there was a new ally or weapon to be discovered, someone or something she would be able to put to good use. She had, admittedly, tried to ignore the call initially as she had been putting the finishing touches on the windmill near her base to ensure a steady flow of electricity - primitive though it was, it did seem to be fulfilling its purpose.
Just as she was about to turn back and head out of the Veiled Shrine, accepting that there was nothing there for her to find, she heard the beating of wings and turned to face the unseen creature. One hand went to her pistol - whether this creature was friend or foe she wasn't sure, but if it was foe she wouldn't hesitate. Hesitation would only get her killed, she'd learned that a long time ago.
