He'll never be the affectionate type, this tactically-minded Hellhound. Pride in your accomplishments (especially if they forward his own goals, whatever the current one may be), a kind of 'this is mine you may not touch' possessiveness, sure, but never true affection. He'll continually try to coax, manipulate, even bully you into following his plans. He'll bully other Bondeds too, especially if they reduce your effectiveness or interfere in his objectives, intentionally or not. He knows how to pitch his mindvoice so that even the most calmly-made statement carries great threat. And he has utterly no idea what the term 'collateral damage' means. Everyone and everything is expendable in pursuit of his goals, especially what he no longer has a need for or can be no further use. Perhaps his sole good quality is that when it's time for battle you never have to doubt that he'll be in the thick of it all, teeth bared and fire breath devastating the field. Leading from behind is no fun after all!

He's definitely among the larger of the Hellhounds at the full three feet art the shoulder and full of muscle. His fur is a brindled charcoal gray and black, giving a faint metallic appearance to him that he quite enjoys. He wears his red shoulder bands with pride gleaming in his orange-red eyes.

This Volan is huge, but not more so than his rank would denote. He stands at an impressive ten feet tall, and is a very impressive figure as he tends to have his ears perked upward. His coloration consists of browns and tans - he's not exactly a vibrant creature, but a Volan doesn't necessarily have to be.

He's a very honorable and stubborn creature. Once he's made a choice, he'll stick to it. His honor code is simple - he must announce himself before he attacks anything intelligent, and he will always roar or hiss or make some noise before attacking a person. This is only because he wants them to be aware of the fight! He wants them to know that he is there to kill and consume them. He is a hungry creature, but he won't disobey his bonded and he will stay out of a fight if she orders it. He does, however, want to do things like fight and kill anything that even looks at her sideways.

He is loyal to a near fault. He will absolutely work towards furthering a goal if it's in his bond's wishes. He is the type of creature to want to be with others and to serve the common cause, as this is the way of survival. He does protect the very young with a terrifying ferocity.

One Strike, Two Cuts Male Katana Sharpblade

One Strike is a very efficient Sharpblade, even among a rank known to be an 'elite strike force.' He never expends excess energy in anything he does, be it hunting, defending his pack from a threat, traveling, or even sleeping (whereas some toss and turn he drops into the first position he lands in and falls asleep). His words are precise and to the point, never sugar coated or made to be pretty. All that extra fluff is just a pointless waste of time and he will never waste time. This at least will make him very effective for Fait's purposes, and his loyalty is assured to the one he feels is the leader of his pack.

Standing just a couple of inches under the full seven feet his kind can reach, One Strike is a vibrant jungle green with black stripes along his shoulders, forearms, thighs, and down his spine. His eyes are red, framed by his rank's deep purple mask. His razor sharp talons, especially the massively large one on his feet, are naturally tipped in black.

Some might think that it is a bit odd that Life in Every Breath's personality is contained in a Scythe's body. Scythe Sharpblades are known for their tight control on their every emotion so that every action is guided by logic. Yet Life in Every Breath lives by that credo. In every moment, there is life. Glorious, beautiful life! It is not that she fails to have emotions, she might explain if Fait asks someday. It is that she has been taught from a young age to master all emotion, compartmentalize and control it with an unbreakable iron grip so that it never clouds her mind. There is right and wrong. There is black and white. There are Fait's orders and desires, and that stands as her one true north. But quietly she cherishes life, finds it beautiful. Every creature and object that exists in the natural world possesses a spirit and an energy all its own and deserves to be respected, even when she must cut it down in Fait's name and for her honor and glory. She will not shed a tear when she must, but when she does not have to she will quietly enjoy it around her, watching as a logical observer.

This scythe is among the tallest of her kind standing at a proud six feet of emerald green reptile. It can be easily said that love is one of the great mysteries of life. It strikes where you never expect, binds the most unlikely of individuals into bonds that nothing, not opposition, not hardships, not even death itself can shake. It can linger, subtle and quiet, between two people for so long that when they realize it is there very little changes between them when it is acknowledged. And at times it can be one-sided, so that one loves another with their entire being but it is never reciprocated. It can even bind three or more people in the same binds. Who can understand it? Well, What is Love is determined to try and find an answer to that question. He has already become a veritable lexicon of poems, essays, stories, and lore on all kinds of love. Between helping Fait with everyday duties and making sure she takes time to care for herself he is studying and following any train of thought in pursuit of his Elusive Answer. Will he ever find it? Probably not, but that doesn't stop him. In what time he has spare, ironically to those that witness it, he seems to be a natural expert at love. He's affectionate and loves to be close as befits a Cuddlebug. He speaks kindly and lovingly to those he cares about, and though he is a little awkward about it offers small gifts and tokens, often food or finds from his research that he knows they'll enjoy. It's ironic that he swears that he doesn’t understand love. Perhaps his subconscious understands far more than he realizes, and someday he'll understand that.

What is Love has the physical appearance of a Cerura Vinula Moth Caterpillar, though of course being a mechanical creature he'll never not be a caterpillar. While being made of metal he has the caterpillar's green coloration thanks to a coat of enamel as well as accents of black along his back and ringing his two, red-tipped 'tails.' Though his face is black it is ringed with red, and white dots line his sides. Overall his entire length is about two feet, and he's about a foot tall though he can stand up to two feet when he 'sits up' on his back sets of legs.

Keeper has always felt that the heart of any home, and any family, is the hearth. It's where warmth is borne from, where in some homes food is cooked, and where families sit around and enjoy both it's glow and one another's company. To him it's almost a sacred thing that not only everyone should share but that deserves protecting. At first that was one of several reasons he was pleased to meet Defender. She was skillful and shared many of his own views. He's a homebody himself, preferring to remain behind and take care of things while others go out adventuring. It was what he did while they were traveling together; Keeper would make and maintain their camp and Defender would go out on whatever task they had found only to return with the a warm fire and dinner ready and waiting for her. It's a habit that he'll continue on with Fait's household: meals and a cozy place to return to will never be lacking, no matter where it may be.

Keeper is an extraordinarily tall Phoenix for his rank, standing actually an inch over the norm of three feet. He is as red as a cherry, and the bands on his wings and tail are diffuse, almost fuzzy-looking at the edges though none of them are wider than a couple of inches. His eyes are all but molten gold in color yet no matter what they are always warm and welcoming.

Every inch a prideful bird, Let None Deny is self-assured in her existence and abilities. However, as befits her rank, she sees no need to crow it to the rooftops, it is simply a fact of life. Water flows, day follows night, and she is magnificent. Why posture and bluster about what can be plainly seen by all? No, better to hold onto her dignity and hold her pride within herself where it need not cause faux pas. She is, after all, a lady in good standing, is she not?

While more than capable of keeping her pride from becoming ruinous arrogance, Let None Deny has never been willing to let it slide when someone else's self-worth is under attack or other threat. She cannot give others her own magnificence, but that won't stop her from trying to illuminate theirs for them, her pride in others she grows attached to a fiercer sort of pride than that she has in herself. She might at times be a little too intense when seeking to uplift others, or a little too formal or archaic in tone, but it is well meant.[/div]

Fait's past was a lesson in never trusting anyone to watch your back for longer than it benefited them. It's been a hard rhetoric to push from her thoughts at times. But words are cheap, little more than hot air in the wind and just as insubstantial. Devotion by Deeds is an incredibly loyal creature. His loyalty to Fait is as absolute as her previous 'comrades' were traitorous. But he will never say as much to her. It's not that it's a big secret or anything. The Majebe just prefers to show as opposed to tell. He says 'I will always be here' with every obeyed order. 'You can trust me' is how he takes care to protect his Bonded from dangers even at risk to himself. 'To the ends of the world,' is in every look and touch and act. And maybe someday that silent message will get through.

Leggy and graceful with dual tails as long as his body, Devotion By Deeds has the body structure akin to a cheetah as befits a Dawn Majebe. His pelt gleams a deep midnight blue with white, pale yellow, and pale blue rosettes, as well as a pale yellow smoke-ruff at the base of his neck to slightly between his shoulders. The smoke that trails from his ankles and tailtip is soft blue in color, what some might call the color of a newborn star and matches his gleaming eyes. His wings match his deep midnight blue fur with thin stripes of pale blue along the longest feathers with tiny star-yellow flecks mixed within.

Prowling stealthily through the shadows and trees. Noble and wild and the embodiment of all the mystique of nature. That is how Elegant and Wild sees himself. Though he's a hunter and in his opinion quite good at it, he's also fastidious in his habits. He keeps himself immaculately groomed and whenever he knows someone's watching he ensures his best side faces them or strikes poses and turns his head in ways he knows enhances his poise. Perhaps one could say that Elegant and Wild is a bit narcissistic, but he doesn't care. In fact there's only one opinion that he considers valid: that of his wonderful Nympkin. He acts as her model and mannequin. He trusts her to garb him in accessories to make him look like a Majebe king. It's both the symbol of their relationship and how they met. She was seeking inspiration and, after glimpsing him lounging on a fallen tree, was suddenly struck by how the golden sunlight fell across his pelt and the drape of a line of ivy above his head. Taken by surprise by her sudden burst of enthusiasm as she rushed forward, making request for him to stay still, now lift his head, look that way, he realized she was in awe of his amazing appearance. Admittedly, at first it wasn't love but slowly, over months, he found he cared less about others opinions and gaze on himself and only about her. Now he lets his beloved style him as her King of the Jungle.

Elegant and Wild is a truly regal Majebe. Weighing in at around three hundred pounds of pure muscle beneath a pelt that starts dark violet along back, shoulders, and the back of his head. It lightens to a lavender on his underside. His paws and the tips of his two tails are a slightly more blue shade of lavender. He has the mane of his rank, small and extending around his face to his cheeks rather than down his neck and a dusty purple to continue his color theme. His smoke matches his mane. This purple makes the emerald of his eyes stand out even more.

The Wind at Your Back, and the Sun Upon Your Face Dawn Majebe

Once fully grown, the North Wind Majebe takes the form of a King Cheetah, and is covered in a lush cherry red coat of fur with darker spots and stripes breaking up the color- darker and more concentrated along his spine, fading to match the background closer to his legs. A dusty pink color coats his underbelly and neck, as well as the tips of each ear. The darker red spotting along the back of his neck merges into a short 'mane' of fur, sticking nearly straight up- a similar longer dark patch can be found at the tip of both long tails. Long, angular wings are powerful enough for him to takeoff from a flat sprint, though he prefers climbing to a higher vantage point first. The feathers fade from the same cherry red at the base of each feather with two thin stripes the same dusty pink as his belly near the tips. Bright blue eyes contrast with the dark red marks around them. A pale peachy orange smoke emits from the base of his neck, as well as trailing off from his slender feet and the tips of his tails.

As a cub he was desperate to fly, and now that he can he certainly makes the most of it- sometimes to the dismay of his bond, as he spends as much time as he possibly can up in the air. Even when he is on the ground, he is like a typical feline in that he prefers to be up high. A tree is optimal, but he woill make due with indoor furniture if needed. Despite some destructive traits (he swears it's not on purpose), he makes a great adventuring companion and is always first to volunteer himself to go along as often as possible- even if the 'adventure' is a trip to the store for some milk and eggs.

Fully grown, the South Wind Majebe takes the form of a Leopard with pure white fur that is broken only by barely darker creamy yellow rosettes on her backend and legs. Darker cream fades over her face, the darkest shade covering each ear and the very tips of her tails. Bright white feathered wings are usually folded neatly at her sides, easily keeping them out of the way of others. Each feather is tipped with a bright, sunny yellow shade that shines like gold in the sunlight. In the right light an iridescent sheen can be seen on both fur and feather, and the bright yellow smoke that flows around her paws and tail tips almost seems to glow in the same light. Deep crimson eyes are framed by white lashes and whiskers, as unnerving as they are beautiful when caught watching you.

Her personality is mostly unchanged from when she was a cub; quiet and content to sit in the background observing others. She may not be the best at comforting others, or understanding emotional needs, but that doesn't mean she doesn't care; she is just busy in her own head trying to devise a solution. In the event that there is no solution she will compensate by taking care of any menial tasks she can. During her downtime she likes to find a vantage point over a well populated area and quietly people watch.

The Bright Flame Strikes Quick Male Five Tails Fire Kitsune

Fire Kitsune are known to have tempers and that's putting it mildly. They are the Vengeful Tricksters, after all. Bright Flame is a five-tailed fox that long ago decided why be anything but who and what he is. He takes insult quick and reacts even quicker. Words are given in the brief moments before flames erupt and many are those who have been singed by his wrath. He's never found anyone that could restrain his fury at the many transgressions of the world.

Until he met Fait. Something about her, something he cannot understand nor put into words, helps cool his wrath by just her presence. A touch, a look, a word, and Bright Flame becomes less a wildfire out of control and more a precisely-aimed flamethrower. He is her weapon, and though he might fly off the handle should someone insult or harm Fait in any way he will also strike at her command with all the white-hot fury of a Fire Kitsune.

Orange-red is the color of fire's heart, and orange red is the color of Bright Flame. He has no markings save for a spark-gold throat, his crimson-tipped tails, and the blood-red kanji for 'fire' on his brow. His eyes glimmer as rubies that snap with emotion when angry. Given his temper it's no surprise that Bright Flame often manifests the fire elemental balls of his kind in his tails. Beware stroking the lush fur!
