Taki could scarcely believe her eyes.
She'd been just wandering through Haven Village park, enjoying the spring day and all the flowers and chasing a few butterflies and milkflies and even a teafly or two (seriously, what else could she call a creature like a butterfly but that dripped milk or had teacups for wings?) when she came upon something at that first she thought looked straight out of a fairy tale.
Several long tables had been decorated with brightly colored tablecloths in all shades of the rainbow. Chairs would give she counted upwards of fifty people places to rest and enjoy the bowls and plates of treats that the tables held, and drink the ruby red punch that filled several punchbowls set at intervals along their lengths. Between all these plates and bowls and punchbowls were decorations of ribbons and confetti and bunny plushies and lilies in vases.
And eggs. A lot of eggs.
Curious as she could be, Taki approached, looking around continually for anyone who had done this and finding no one. There was an egg nearby to her. Like all the others it was about four inches from top to bottom, far too large for a chicken's egg but she couldn't say that it was an egg from any creature she was aware of, and no two looked like; each one was dyed colorfully or adorned with ribbons or glitter or even jewels! The one she happened to pick up was cream colored with an amethyst tied to it with a bit of hemp cord and secured to the top was a small tag that read 'A Gift for You!' It felt far sturdier than eggshell too, but at a bit of unintentional pressure... it cracked!
*Oh no!... Wait...* Peering more closely she realized it was some kind of craft plaster, and there was something inside! With another glance around Taki decided that it did say it was a gift for her as it were, and fully broke it open.
Inside was a small coin made of stone with an image of a staff of some sort carved onto it. Both sides were the same, which she thought was kind of silly as you couldn't call heads or tails if it had no tails. On sudden impulse she flipped it into the air, watching it shine in the sunlight, but when she went to catch it the coin vanished with a small sparkle of light!
*Ah! What happened?*
The magic of the coin had fulfilled its purpose, I believe.
Taki turned around to see a Grathkin standing behind her, an elderly Sha'Na'Ka with a polished, twisting but straight piece of wood studded with gems for a staff. He looked at her with an evaluating eye, then nodded.
Yes, you're a young one still, a bit naïve. You could use a good dose of common sense. I think I'd better stay around, make sure you don't do something foolish with yourself. Despite his tone, Taki's Empathy felt a warmth in him, and his gruffness didn't fool her one bit. She smiled cheerfully, tail twitching as she replied,
*I'd like that, Velden!* Velden huffed, though a small smile twitched his lips.
Yes, quite.

Welcome to quite an... interesting Bonding, just in time for Easter!
Here's how things go: Your character can find out about this little party any way you want, whether it's via the Drums or pure happenstance or a flier which no Taki didn't make but you know the IF or whatever suits your fancy!
Bondeds are welcome, though keep in mind the spacing of the area; four or five dragons at once might get a little cramped lol!
The Rules for this Special Event
Character missed a step? No worries! Just post them doing it and things will progress.
This pattern will repeat weekly until all the eggs are claimed!
Have fun everyone!

The Rules for this Special Event
- You can bring as many characters as you like!
- When you arrive, claim ONE EGG per character from the list below. Please put the Egg you choose in bold so I can clearly see it, as can everyone else. Also please read through all other poses to ensure you don't double-claim an Egg. (First claim wins any ties!)
- Your character may open the egg when you claim it, though I will tell you what lay within in in an edit to your post and a Discord alert. As with Taki's egg there may be something you have to do to earn your prize, whether it's flip a coin, blow a small horn, peel off a sticker, or whatever else random fun I can come up with.
- After that show your character doing this, then wait for my update when what happens will be revealed.
- IN ONE WEEK I will give a full update, where I will reveal what may have been found by someone who has followed all these steps, and at that point they may claim ANOTHER EGG!
Character missed a step? No worries! Just post them doing it and things will progress.
This pattern will repeat weekly until all the eggs are claimed!
Have fun everyone!
