Name: Taki
Gender Female
Race: Myrgwae (meer-g'way)
Physical Description
Age: 5 Falls (she can recall having seen 5 autumn seasons, but has the mentality and for her kind body of an adult; see Myrgwae and Ages)
Ht: 3' 7", give or take the ears
Wt: 89 lbs of mostly fluff

Theme Song:
Fox Amoore's Spirit of the Snow
Personality: Like many other Myrgwae (or at least from what she's heard) Taki has a somewhat basic personality for her fae kind: playful, trusting, innocent, very child-like and optimistic. She has a particular fascination with animals and fantastical creatures specifically, loves to dance and sing for others, and with the right person can be very affectionate and once or twice has allowed herself to be someone's 'stuffed animal' when they need someone to hug onto.
Racial Notes: Myrgwae are a race of fae creatures that resemble anthropomorphic felines. Male and female alike generally barely top four feet in height and have slender builds, with smooth fur types varying in shades from grey tones to goldish brown with varied markings like patches, spots, and stripes (fluffier fur, solid colors, white, and darker shades including deep brown and black have been seen, but are extremely rare). They often dress in whimsical clothes and are fond of wearing hats or hoods that include holes cut out for their ears. They typically don't wear jewelry unless it was a gift from a friend, in which case they never take it off.
On their home world, Myrgwae are viewed as mischievous tricksters who rarely do any important work. At least that's what those who have never been in the company of one of these beings may say. They on the other hand - as well as their friends - tell a different tale. A Myrgwae has two driving instincts. The simpler of the two is to see what lies on the horizon. They are endlessly curious about everything in the world around them and want to see, do, and experience it all. The second, and far more complicated, is to make those around them happy. Myrgwae are drawn to help those that are sad, or afraid, or in any way distressed, with a focused drive that would make the most noble paladin take notice if he could recognize it. They will do this with surprising precision: talking with them, being cuddly, making jokes, performing silly antics, playing good-natured and well-meaning jokes, or whatever it takes. They have no sense of embarrassment, unless they are on the receiving end of praise which will fluster them to no end.
Racial Powers: Myrgwae have only a few abilities attributed to them. The primary of these is their Empathic ability. Myrgwae can both draw in another person's emotions, feeling it as their own, or project their own emotions outwards. When they 'Draw' it lets them better understand exactly how they need to help a person, and if they really exert themselves, they can lessen the emotion's effects on that person, though this often comes at a cost to the Myrgwae themselves. They only 'Push' as a self defense, projecting feelings of calmness and affection, to make an enemy less likely to want to hurt them, or in severe moments (usually in defense of another) projecting fear to make an enemy run.
Next is their Nature Affinity. Wild, non-sentient animals will as a general rule not attack a Myrgwae. (this does not count when it comes to rabid, intelligent (capable of near-human or human-level reasoning), trained, or magically-controlled wild animals). For example, a Myrgwae could pick up a poisonous snake without fear of it biting. But a guard dog trained to attack anyone that was on the master's property would still growl and bite at them.
The next ability they have been recorded posessing is for lack of a better term Natural Grooming. No matter what they get into, a Myrgwae only has to pat themselves off to remove any dirt or stains from their clothing, or shake themselves to remove water leaving them as dry as before.
The final ability is one that scholars who have studied them have debated for ages: Silent Speech. Myrgwae are naturally quiet, much like a housecat can move with barely a whisper of sound. But these feline fae go a step further: they have never been heard to speak aloud. However, when they want to make themselves understood by someone, their mouth moves in what lip readers have deemed 'nonsense' and the specific individual(s) simply understand the Myrgwae's intended words, in whatever language they themselves consider their native. Those who have 'heard' a specific Myrgwae's 'voice' can describe it to others, whether it is smooth or rough, fluid or choppy, accented or harsh or soft, but unless they are intentionally 'speaking' to a large crowd, even a person standing right next to the intended listener heard nothing. (A few keener-eared listeners have reported to hear a faint murmuring sound from the Myrgwae when they utilize their 'voice,' but no one has ever recorded this sound).
On their Home World: No one on their home world can say for certain how many Myrgwae exist, for they rarely sit still for long to be counted, and on top of that for whatever reason two Myrgwae will never meet face to face. In no recorded history have two of these fae ever been seen in each other's company, some scholars say by divine will. As one wise elven magi has penned: "If two of these emotional beings were to ever use their powers in tandem, what could they do? Drive a while city to revelry! Paralyze them with terror! Rack them with sorrow!" If you ask a Myrgwae why this is so, your answer will vary depending on which you ask. A younger (or more mischievous) Myrgwae will likely go on some long explanation about cosmic alignment and seasonal variations that will wind to the most outrageous and amusing tale that they can make up. An older (and typically wiser) one will simply smile and claim *That's the way it's always been.*
This usually begs the question how are they born, if two never meet? In truth, not even the Myrgwae can answer that. When asked their earliest memory, most claim it was strolling along whatever road they first recall traveling upon, or being in their first town. None remember a 'childhood,' claiming they appear as they have always been, or can say they have parents. It's as if they just pop into existence. This lack of family never distresses the Myrgwae in the slightest, and they are quick to reassure such if a companion displays concern about this.
A Myrgwae's tendency to seek out companions seems to relate directly to their ability to control their Empathy. Those who are young or have little control gravitate towards others, desiring to travel with them and drawing support from them to balance out their wild abilities and oftentimes uncontrollable Drawing. In large groups of two or more, they will typically pick one stable individual and stay close to them (in this world, it's almost like a Bonding) and are quite willing to do whatever they can to help this person. As the Myrgwae 'matures' and gains more control of their powers, they become more willing to do things on their own as they are not always so overwhelmed by outside emotional influences. Myrgwae who also seem to have a natural capability for controlling their Empathy also tend to remain solitary for the most part, befriending others to help them with their problems before moving on, seeking the next horizon.
Myrgwae and Ages: Myrgwae have a unique way to present their ages. Because they do not remember their own origins, they typically start counting their 'age' by the first season they remember experiencing. So one who says he or she is 'seven summers' is saying that their first recollection was being in summertime seven years ago. They typically do not celebrate birthdays (at least not their own, though they will throw themselves into any celebration others participate in with gusto!). Regardless of this number, even one who claims they have only seen one season has the full cognizance of an adult, even if they act otherwise on occasion.
