Dominic stepped into the Veiled Shrine, Kimasa and Sugar Cookie with him now; despite having known these creatures only a short time, they had become permanent and surprisingly welcome fixtures in his life, and the eldest nuzzled his cheek as he glanced at the pool of water that had first revealed Kimasa to him and led to their bonding. He smiled slightly at the memory before looking around. He couldn't exactly place why he felt like he was being called here, but there had to be a reason. Perhaps he would be meeting another potential friend here?
He could hear some scuffling in the darkness though he couldn't quite make out any movement despite the gentle glow from Kimasa; the darkness here seemed to drown out the light almost intentionally, as though he would have to wait like he had before the family of Kirava had welcomed him not just to this world, but into their lives as well. Dominic was certain that whomever he happened to meet here would be a welcome addition no matter what they looked like.
----------------------------------- I would like to claim an Archangel Starmane, an Ember Phoenix, and a Naduir Naiad for fifteen BP!
It was difficult to disguise a Starmane in the darkness, as their very nature was to glow. Lightstrands and stars for mane and tail and fetlocks, in this case a pale silvery light shining from the shadows and an emotionally musical neigh following the shine as the angelic horse approached.
Soldier of Salvation Archangel
Every Host needs its soldiers, no matter how peaceable Starmanes are as a species. And those soldiers are usually the Archangels, protective and kind, watchful and vigilant. This one is no different from most in that respect. He does tend to go out of his way to find and help the hopeless and the lost, however, particularly those who seem to be lost causes to the untrained eye. Be careful with him; you never quite know what kind of stray he'll bring home next, needing shelter or food or both. All who are lost can be found, all who need help can be saved. Such is the basic tenet of this Archangel's existence.
He's a handsome angel-horse, though, a regal arch to his neck and a proud set to his posture. His pelt is the silver of a distant stormcloud kissed by the sun and his lightstrand-and-star mane, tail, and fetlocks all shine like the stars of the night sky. Like all Starmanes, his hooves glisten like diamonds and pad nearly silently against the ground, leaving nearly no trace of his passing.
Tidesweep will handle the other two. Works in progress!
With one glance at the equine, taking in his appearance, a name would pop into Dominic's head unbidden and though it could be considered a bit simple, it definitely suited the creature standing before him. "Cloudmane. If...If you like it," he said with a sheepish smile. The zombie hesitated just a moment, almost as if he were unsure he could touch such a beautiful creature, before reaching out to stroke the Archangel's muzzle. He felt almost sinfully soft to the touch, and when his newest companion didn't shy away, he allowed himself to relax.
Soon after the Starmane made their appearance, a soft twitter would sound and before he knew it, Dominic would have a small phoenix resting on his shoulder. And refusing to move. At all.
Within a heart beat, a deer entered the Shrine from the darkness as well, giving a low bow to Dominic before rising up and moving to inspect him, searching for any wounds she needed to take care of. Looking as soul deep as she was, it wouldn't be long before a name would whisper across his mind, sealing the bond in place.
Amadahy. Guard this name well, for it is only yours and mine to know.
---------------------------------- The Walls Will Not Break Ember Male Phoenix
Life is a dangerous entity. It can throw rockslides, floods, rain, people, and even objects at you. All in an effort to break you down into nothing. Tearing you apart, piece by piece or in whole chunks as it suits itself. But you, Dominic, have the lovely luck of having this Ember by your side to see through it all. Like many others of his rank, he is a great listener and will sit through any story or complaint you have. No matter how long it may take to get out, he will wait patiently for you to tell him everything. He will be your rock in the wind. Your shelter in the storm. He will be the dam you need when the flood of life tries to sweep you away. He will not break. He will not let you break. No matter how long it takes, he will make sure that life does not break you down, but only builds you up.
Small, coming just shy of about a foot and a half in height, he isn't exactly a force to be reckon with. But his diminutive statue does allow him to ride very comfortably on your shoulder so he can be with you whenever you need. A dark, ash grey coats just about his entire body till you get to the speckling of red and oranges along his wings and his belly. His talons and beak are a nice shiny black, catching the light from the edges of his wings just right.
------------------------------- I Will Fix the Scars Unseen Naiad Femal Nadur
Speech: Italic #7FFFD4
Not all scars leave marks. Not all hits leave visible bruises. Not everything heals up like nothing has happened. Sometimes, a wound goes deeper than just the physical appearance. Sometimes there is emotional and mental traumas and scars that need to be cleaned, dressed, and looked after. If not, no matter how well the outside looks, the inside is a mass of mess. This Naiad knows this very well. Skilled in both the physical and mental attributes of healing, she will make sure the outside reflects the inside and the inside reflects the outside. Tremendously patient, she doesn't care how long it takes or how many backward steps there are, she will see her patient through it all and to the very end.
A dark cream is her main color, covering more than ninety percent of her body. In the middle of her back, a lighter brown and light cream alternation occurs, giving the impression that someone had just dropped a pebble in the middle of the puddle that is her. Her eyes a lovely shade of brown, bringing to mind gooey chocolate from fresh baked cookies or warm coco in the middle of winter. Coming to just a little over three feet in height, she uses it to her advantage well in herding her patients to just where exactly she needs them to go.
Dominic had assumed that he would be leaving the cave with only one new addition to his family, not three, but he welcomed their presence all the same. He felt less like an outcast in this world because of the bonds he was making, both with the creatures and, surprisingly enough, the people as well. He looked thoughtfully at the Naiad; he would need something to call her, since the name she had given him seemed like she wanted him to keep it a complete secret. "I'll call you Angelique," he said softly to the lovely doe, before turning his attention to the phoenix perched on his shoulder. "And your name is Kea."
