Mini-Update!
--------------------
W-What was that? the brown kit sounded frightened, beginning to tremble in Mildred's arms. He didn't know what was going to happen, what that roar entailed; he'd never encountered a dragon where he'd come from, but he knew to fear anything that sounded that large and hungry. The beating of wings could be heard, drawing closer as whatever fearsome beast they belonged to scoured the wastes for a snack, and they would be lucky if it didn't decide to snatch them up.
The dragon was visible now, vibrant red scales gleaming and claws stained with a dark brownish-red. Unfortunately it seemed to have taken notice of the trespassers, though its gaze would focus on the yellow kit and the one carrying her. It roared again before diving towards them, claws outstretched.
Strangely, the yellow kit showed no sign that she was frightened. Rather, she looked up at the fearsome dragon that sought to devour her and Tangle with only a mild sort of curiosity; she'd had to deal with far worse after all, and in greater numbers. Though she was young, she did have a bit of control over her abilities and was able to cast a small illusion that would protect herself.
The dragon's claws struck the ground only mere feet from them, causing dirt to spray over those closest to it, and it roared in victory as it seized a large rock between its claws. The yellow kit watched with amusement as the creature carried the rock off instead, though by the time the illusion would wear off they should be long gone. She barked at Tangle to get moving before the dragon came back, she wasn't exactly fond of the idea of being made into its lunch.
