Because right now, with the world in such turmoil and all the anger and hatred and hurting out there,I think we need things like this to remind us of the goodness that still exists, quietly, out there unsung and often overlooked.

Ok, real-life story time! This actually happened to myself, Scar, and Cass as we were driving back home from the city I work in, meaning basically that I was taking the same route I take to get to and from work.
Several cars ahead of us was a truck pulling an open-top trailer thing filled with what looked like tree trimmings. Nothing very big, but it was seriously full. Truck hit a bump or took too sharp a turn or something, it was hard to tell, and a couple branches spilled out onto the road. Truck kept going; probably couldn't tell it had lost some of its burden. One branch was half on the shoulder, half in the road, and the other (larger) branch was directly on the middle line between the lanes. Our lane was blocked, more or less unless you felt stupidly bold to drive over them (me in our car,not a chance!).
Van directly behind the truck slowed, came to a stop, waited, then took a risk and passed into the other lane to go around the branches. Kinda an iffy move because this happened practically right at the base of a hill. Practically NO visibility of oncoming traffic. Next two cars did the same, and we slowly advanced.
Then the silver van behind us opened a door on the passenger side, a guy hopped out, jogged ahead to where the branches were and pulled them off the road to clear the way. Scar rolled down the window to thank him as did I, and we all went on our merry way.
Just a minor little act of human goodwill. Yeah, he was technically serving himself by pulling them out of everyone's way, but still I consider it an act of Kindness.
