There was no shortage of rumors regarding the old house on the hill, the one at the very edge of the weyr that had been abandoned by its previous owners time and time again. It had gone uninhabited for at least a year at this point, and yet there were rumors of things going bump in the night, of shadows being glimpsed in the windows, of screams coming from it, of people disappearing inside of it never to be seen again. Now these were only rumors, of course, but did not every rumor have some grain of truth to it? The weyrfolk weren't incorrect, after all; the place was haunted, certainly, but not by any ghosts. No, the ones who had taken over the residence were in fact very much alive! Well, as alive as living stuffed toys could be considered such.
Alive they were indeed, but they were growing lonely. You see, Melodears hardly considered themselves whole unless they had a person to take care of: someone they could love and who would love them in return. Love was what gave life meaning, a fact that all present could certainly agree on. The second thing that they could all agree on? Why, it wouldn't be as fun if they didn't set up a game of sorts for would-be explorers!
The game chosen? Hide and seek! Those brave enough to venture into the supposedly haunted house would have merely taken the first step, the second and harder step would be to discover where the ones they unknowingly sought were hiding. And so the Melodears scattered, with some hiding better than others as they waited with bated metaphorical breath for the adventurous to arrive.

Time to get into the boring stuff, the rules.
1. Your character's goal is to play hide and seek with the Melodears hidden throughout, with your character as the seeker. Three characters per person are permitted, though if there are extra Melodears left over you may try for another!
2. NPCs are permitted.
3. You may bring one creature companion with you. Nothing too large, of course, we want them to be able to fit through the doorway!
4. Have fun!
