(Would-rather-not-fight-if-self-can-avoid-it,) Shy immediately answered, and if they could have frowned they would have. (Self-never-ever-wants-to-hurt-another-living-creature. But-not-everyone-can-understand-self-so-if-words-don't-work-use-magic-to-distract-and-then-flee-or-help-other-wounded-if-present.) They couldn't help but think back to the time that those beasts had attacked the Grathkins, where they'd used up all of their Soul to cast that bubbly barrier. They'd passed out afterward, but it didn't seem as though any of the Grathkin had gotten themselves harmed any further nor had they lost anyone.
At least that question was simple to answer, yet still Nec took his time. The egg was odd, he was sure that's where the mindvoice was coming from. The fur was just bizarre, probably because to Nec, eggs and fur just wasn't supposed to be a thing. Unless anything stopped him he'd reach out and touch it, flick at a few strands to see if they kept shimmering.
He did get around to answer eventually, though.
"Then I'd take them out before they could do any harm. Or try to at least." Chuckling a bit, one of the egg's suggestions came close to an often used tactic of his; piss of an opponent to no end until they made that critical mistake. "Just how I'd go about it would again depend. I prefer to work alone." That was the diplomatic was of saying he didn't like to get his friends involved. Not that he didn't know they could fight, he just didn't see the point of them taking the risk. "Why? You got an enemy you need handled?"
Gabriel looked at the egg and took a few moments to think because frankly he'd never dealt with people on the verbal level like that. Grace and Tact, if I were to just charge forward I may make an enemy that would attack me or else attack those I love most. Which at the moment are Bonds I've made here. He said as he spoke to the egg still feeling weird but accepting it.

Michael was feeling better but he was still concerned for Luc in this place it was not what he'd expected but he hoped that his son would stay close and therefor safe. I would fight alongside any allies I have, the threat to my son and the sons and daughters of others is better dealt with together. Fighting alone only leads to your doom and potentially your death, standing on his own did nothing for my father so I learned from his mistakes. He said to the voice that seemingly was female now, it seemed a bit odd but he went with it.
He remained calm as long as he said nothing. His mind was aflame with words he wanted to spew at this shell-contained creature, but he held back as best he could. The man stayed still and silent for a moment, thoughts soon spilling from the rim of his mind.
"It follows me into any space I crawl through," Biscotti muttered. He did not seek a challenge from this egg, and certainly not one of words.
"They are wrong," he said, a near-laugh slipping free. A soft, faux grin edged back into his discomfort, suffocating the strength in his voice. His eyes dimmed, deep gray blackening at the edges. His heart had quickened to a sprint, though he sat unmoving until his hands lifted to cover his ears.
"I did not ask to be questioned. I did not choose to be here. I have no control over anything unless I shut them out."
He craved comfort and quiet. He craved the calm that existed all around him, the cause of his panic seeping from somewhere within. It took hold and strangled his good sense. His own skin felt tight.
The rock beneath him became a beanbag, one that the beans spilled from freely. He still did not shift on his own, too busy trying to find his breath again.
The only response Shy would get this time would be a humming, thoughtful sound, before the Feathered Egg would go silent and still.
-----------
The Clockwork Egg murmured a bit at the words, a female-sounding voice repeating Grace and Tact… before falling silent. ------
The Stained Glass Egg made an interested sound in a female tone, but otherwise fell silent and still. It seemed to have no further questions for Michael[/i]. ------
The Shimmering Fur Egg briefly rocked side to side in response to Nec's words, a curious Ohh! being spoken, but then fell silent.
--------- Perhaps The Mirror Egg understood Biscotti's[/i] irritation with the entire scenario, but it fell silent after this final answer save for a single rock back and forth.
Everyone After a few moments it might seem that something had gone wrong. All the eggs were quiet and silent and still. A brief breeze blew through the area, even as from on high K'tiro voiced a chirpy purr sound, looking down at them and tipping his head as if to ask 'what's going on?'
Then all at once, everything started to happen!
The Feathered Egg by Shy would rustle and flutter upon the unseen shell, then explode in all directions! When the whirlwind of plumage would clear a fully-grown Gryphon would be sitting before Shy looking down at them. (Forget that reasonably they couldn't have fit in the egg. Just don't ask.) But he wouldn't look anything like the traditional Gryphon being a blend of a Secretary Bird and a King Cheetah in shades of blue and white!
You, my liege, understand how to look at the heart of others regardless of what those around say. It will be an honor to serve and aid you.
Bond! Can you Relate? Male Rose Gryphon to Shy!

Under Gabriel's eye the Clockwork Egg would start clicking and whirring and the gears would be turning around and around. With a mechanical rattle the gears would seemingly fold within themselves, defying spatial relation and dimension (because why not?) until it utterly vanished beneath the creature that had been concealed within. The Gryphon would flex her wings gracefully and open her beautiful eyes to find the one who'd answered her questions so kindly, every movement full of poise from White Gyrfalcon front to Snow Leopard back.
Elegance, grace, tact, and power. Yes, m'lord, you and I shall work quite well together. I eagerly await to serve.
Bond! Elegance in Everything Female Rose Gryphon to Gabriel!
****************
The Strained Glass egg would slowly start losing its colors as if they were melting away, leaving the framework behind and a glimpse of the creature within, then the frame would drop into tiny little metal fragments to free the Gryphon inside. She'd quickly stand to her feet with Great Horned Owl wings flaring, and folding, before bowing to Michael, golden Cheetah tail flickering behind her.
M'lord, it will be an honor to serve you and fight beside you. And an honor to protect you, my Young Prince.
Bond! The Best Defense is a Good Offense Female Blade Gryphon to Michael!

Nec would see the Shimmering Fur Egg's fur rustle as if blown in a breeze, though there would be no wind that he'd be able to feel. Bits and locks would start to be pulled away, evaporating on the wind and - look at that! No shell at all it seemed! But regardless of the rather odd 'hatching' the full-grown Gryphon inside would be ready to bound to his feet with a screech and a shake of his Phillipean Eagle head and Clouded Leopard tail.
My Lord, my liege - our enemies won't know what hit them!
Bond! Strike Me, I Dare You! Male Blade Gryphon to Nec!
*************** The Mirror Egg would shiver, tiny cracks appearing in the silvered glass. But rather than shatter - that wouldn't be an auspicious beginning for whatever would be within - instead it fractured into neat diamond shapes and, starting at the top, almost folded in on itself until the last pieces vanished from sight, revealing what was hidden within as she stood and shook her fur and feathers from the seeming confinement.
I am sorry that the world seems to frustrate you so, she spoke softly, folding too-small wings for her kind. If it will help you, my liege, I will gladly carry those burdens you do not want to bear, so that you may maintain your solitude.
Bond! Let it Fall to Me Female Shield Gryphon to Biscotti! ***************
Anari just shook her head with a small chuckle. So, Gryphons huh? And ones the like of which she'd never seen before herself anywhere in the Haven Territory.
Well, in a way she wasn't surprised!
---------------------------
The eggs have hatched! As you can see, there's been a change to Gryphons in general which is now reflected in the Database, and these are the first generation of that change.
Any bird (typically not songbirds…yet) can be the front half of the Gryphon now, and any feline (typically medium to large, so no housecats…yet) can be the back half. Want a raven/panther Gryphon for example? You're good to go! Want a Seagull/tiger? Go for it! The metallic tendencies or coloration habits still apply in general, but you're not restricted to 'eagle/lion' combinations though of course that is still available.
Remember, their names still need to sound noble in some way, though they can be in any language you want.
Hope you had fun with this Bonding - thanks for the participation and for the patience with my delay during NaNoWriMo! It was a blast for me which I credit to you all. Thank you!
By now Nec knew how this worked, even if he was. But worried when everything went silent. But of course then things started happening and soon he was face to face with a (rather small?) unique-looking Gryphon! Nec offered a bow and grinned at the creature. "Hello Vitos."
Shy was just beginning to worry when the egg went still and they were about to reach out and touch it when suddenly the shell seemed to explode outward. They flinched back before realizing that a large gryphon was sitting before them, one much too large to have just hatched from the egg. They stared for a moment before finally registering that the newly-hatched creature has spoken to them. They probably wanted a name, right? Soft and Sharp had wanted names and, unlike Asar, he hadn't said what it was if he did have one. Logically, at least in their opinion, that meant that they had to name him. Given his feathers and fur, it didn't take them long to come up with one. (Self-will-call-you-Fluff-is-okay?) they asked, sounding hopeful. It might not be the most intimidating of names, but a name it was regardless. Hopefully their new friend would approve of it.
Gabriel smiled at her, "What do you think of Aneila?" He asked then smiled. "It means Gracious or Merciful." Gabriel suggested to the Gryphon before him who dipped her beak in acceptance of the bond that had been presented to her. She was doing her best to adjust to the others who were waiting to greet her once they got home.

"Well I think that Billie would be a good name for you." Michael said as he smiled at his new Gryphon and he picked up Luc. The young boy giggling as he pet the Gryphon, Michael was here and finally feeling at peace with his life and the child he's had before coming. "Let's get to know one another shall we?"
((OOC: Gabriel's is called Aneila and Michael's is Billie))
