Appearance: At first glance High looks to be a human (albeit one with a bird mask), but this is not the case. High has glowing white eyes with no pupils, black-feathered wings, a black beak, and a black-feathered body. The way their feathers stick up at the back of their head is reminiscent of hair and could well be mistaken for such in dim lighting. Typically, High wears a sort of leotard with an attached skirt though if given the option they would happily change into something that is less likely to mess up their feathers or even go without clothing entirely as their feathers are more than capable of keeping them warm. Their feet end in four sharp-taloned toes, three facing forward and one facing backward.
Personality: Careful yet perseverant, High is a child who has been through much in their short life. Unfortunately, they have also seen much that has given them no small amount of reason to fear for their life on more occasions than one. They are used to doing what they are told (often because they have no other choice) and don't speak much, preferring to avoid drawing attention to themself. They don't open up to many people, much less other fledgelings their age as they are often bullied. As a result, they will often keep to themself though they long for a flock to call their own instead of being alone all the time. When feeling particularly upset, they will bundle themself up in their newly-acquired and flight-capable wings and cry quietly. They can be a bit jumpy sometimes due to their upbringing or lack thereof, and they're not all that capable of standing up for themself. While High is certainly capable of taking care of themself, they long to be loved and doted on as they never knew their own parents.
