Name: Enorawyn of Rohan
Race: Man
Sex: Female
Age: 20
Alignment: Neutral Good
Appearance
Enorawyn is an athletic young woman of about 5’6”, with short, sloppily-chopped red hair curling back behind her ears, a spray of freckles across her tanned face, and brilliant green eyes. She dresses practically, in leathers, mostly dyed in the greens and browns of her home in Rohan. Often, Enorawyn is even found with a lance or spear for fighting from horseback, or a bow, with which she is equally proficient.
Personality
In times of peace, Enorawyn is warm and charming. The Rohirrim have a reputation for being suspicious of outsiders, but Enorawyn herself always concerned herself with the horses and outsiders were always a novelty. Given a reason to fight, however, she can turn hard and cold, the fury of the Riddermark on horseback bearing down with lance in hand to vanquish the enemy. Of course, as much as Enorawyn can be sociable with people, she’ll always prefer horses. And on Teragaia, horse-shaped creatures. Just a facet of being a stable girl from Rohan, maybe.
History
In Middle Earth, in the lands of Rohan, there are the fabled Riders of the Riddermark. Profoundly gifted and trained warriors on horseback, capable of facing any foe and riding them down. Of course, warriors train the warriors, and it’s up to the stables of Rohan to breed and train the horses to be just as fierce. And that’s where Enorawyn began, the fifth of seven daughters to a man who owned a stable. A man who once shared Rohan’s belief that women belonged indoors, doing chores, until age forced him to re-evaluate his stance, and take on his less ladylike daughters for help around the stables. Breeding the horses, training the horses, grooming the horses, cleaning the stables… Enorawyn herself has been on horseback since she was six years old, teaching them to be ridden, teaching them to be fearless, teaching them how to fight. She’s as knowledgeable about mounted combat as any of the Rohirrim – spear, javelin, lance, bow, all part of inuring the horses to weapons and fighting, although her native Rohan would never have allowed her on a live battlefield. Enorawyn’s combat experience is limited to training dummies designed to make lots of noise (the better to teach the horses not to spook or scare at loud sounds). Officially, anyway.
Then the Dark Lord Sauron rose to power, again, and it was time for all hands on deck, as it were, and nobody really noticed when Enorawyn disappeared in the chaos. Much fuss and news was made of the Fellowship of the Ring. Nobody knew of Enorawyn’s little fellowship of her own, made up of stray warriors she rounded up, rescued from war camps, putting down scouting parties of orcs and goblins and Men of Sauron’s ilk.
Enorawyn herself doesn’t know how that battle ended. The ultimate battle of Good versus Evil and she…was taken from Middle Earth by unknown forces before she could see the end of the Third Age.
Powers and Abilities
Horselord – With fourteen years and counting on horseback, and immersed in the culture of Rohan, Enorawyn is an expert equine handler and warrior regarding mounted combat.
Warrior, Warden – Just because Rohan doesn’t allow women to fight doesn’t mean Rohan’s women all universally accept that and go back to their embroidery. Some instead go on, dressed as men or into a world too starved for fighters to care about gender, to become warriors of some renown.
