It was with an irritated screech that the white mottle fire lizard had to bat the green away from her son, and not for the first time today either. The little fair had landed here to catch a break but even still the matriarch couldn't seem to let down her guard before she would be breaking up another possible fight between her occasionally (okay, more than occasionally) reckless son and the green fire lizard that had joined them since he had been driven out of his own fair. She wasn't sure exactly what the young gold mottle had done to earn the green's ire, but she would do her best to keep them separated.
Said gold mottle was completely oblivious as the green let out a squawk of indignation at having been pinned down; he'd spread his wings and flown over to the blue sentry whom was currently surveying for any signs of predators that might want to munch on them. He butted his head lightly against him and chittered, challenging him to a race as his eyes whirled with excitement. He knew he would be able to beat the bigger blue this time, he could feel it in his bones!
The blue spared a glance at the younger fire lizard though he didn't answer his challenge; he had his own job to do and while he wouldn't mind besting the cocky gold mottle once again, there were- Wait, what was that? He turned his head, only to see that the sound was just a small rock rolling down the mountainside. Nothing to be concerned about, though he was still wary.
Fastest Thing On Wings Gold Mottle
Impatient, impulsive, and sometimes even a bit snarky, this gold mottle is one of the youngest fire lizards present. He has a bad habit of charging into danger at the drop of a hat regardless of his small size, which tends to get him into trouble. To be fair, he does it mostly to protect those he cares about. One of his sore spots is having it pointed out how small he is, and the offender will usually get a bite or a smack with his tail. This gold mottle fancies himself the fastest-flying fire lizard, though he will sometimes seek out a certain blue and challenge him to races; he's lost every one so far, but that hasn't stopped him from trying to prove himself. He is also the most trusting of humans and humanoids, and is usually the first to approach them to make friends despite not being the best judge of character. Surprisingly he can be very gentle when he wants to be, especially with creatures smaller than he is, and is very in tune with his emotions as well as the emotions of others. Whenever he feels that someone is upset, he will fly over and press himself close to them, not making any sound in the hopes of being able to comfort them with his presence alone since he's not so good at doing it any other way. These times of silence are rare, however, and it's usually hard to keep up with his bursts of energy and it's easy for him to get carried away. There was a misunderstanding between himself and a green because of this, which he immensely regrets.
His coloration leans more towards yellow than gold, and he has black stripes running across his body along with two small horns atop his head.
If I Have To Fly Halfway Across The Galaxy Blue
As a certain gold mottle's biggest rival, this blue fire lizard is unmatched in terms of speed. He is highly talented in delivering messages given his speed and equally determined to get them where they need to go without delay. He is also the fastest 'speaker,' technically speaking, as the emotions and images that he communicates rarely last two seconds and often confuse the other fire lizards he's with since they can't understand him; it's like he drank too much coffee or ate too much sugar and now he's all over the place. He can only sit still for a grand total of thirty seconds before he's bored, and prefers to always be doing something rather than nothing. He also seems to be rather distrustful of fire lizards he isn't well acquainted with, at least until they prove to him that they possess good intentions, and is also wary of people though not to the extent some of the others are.
He is the second smallest fire lizard in the group, though he is still a good deal bigger than his self-proclaimed rival. He is sky blue in color.
Wasp Make Bumble-Lizard Pay Green
Never has any green held a grudge like this one; he hates, hates, hates a certain gold mottle and would sooner attack him with teeth bared and claws slashing. He is of similar build to the gold mottle, being tied for the smallest in their group, and seems to be more than a little unstable. He used to be like any other green fire lizard: cheerful, well-liked, maybe a bit arrogant but he was overall decent until the clumsy gold mottle had to roll in and ruin his reputation by spreading lies about him being a bad lizard that was only going to do their fair harm. He was driven out from the fair shortly afterwards, left to fend for himself in the wilds and losing not just friends but family. He is obsessed with besting the gold mottle, no matter what it takes, and will not settle until he destroys his life. But perhaps a bit of kindness and acceptance will help this green fire lizard get over past slights and encourage him to live a relatively normal and perhaps happy life. He calls himself 'Wasp' and will answer to no other name regardless of whether his bonded gives him one.

A Spoonful Of Love And Plenty Of Patience White Mottle
The matriarch and leader of this small fair of fire lizards, this white mottle is the one who normally keeps the peace. This involves keeping her impulsive child in line and preventing a certain green from outright attacking him, though she is more than ready to settle for a peaceful life. After being surrounded by so many boys for so long, she would love to be able to find a female bonded to settle with though she is far from being past her prime and sometimes can be just as energetic as her son when the mood strikes her. Her favorite activity is stretching out in the warm sun and taking a nap. Maybe one day she'll decide to have another clutch of eggs, but she would rather wait a little while (especially if any of her hatchlings turn out like her rambunctious firstborn). It takes a lot to faze this white mottle, since she is good at solving disputes courtesy of her 'practice' with her son along with his self-declared mortal rival and enemy.
She is mostly white with pink blotches on her body that vaguely resemble hearts.
