Other Characteristics: Renji is a very young boy in a man body and due to conditioning he was undergo some harsh training that made him quite different from his generation. He often would cause dents and scratches his body when he is separated by his grandfather or the things he holds dear like his mother locket. So if you see some damage on his sleek robot body it isn't from the battles he would have fighting.

Personality: Being the young man in a grown man, he can be quite childish and always seek approval with others. But due to his training from the head of his family, he often switching from a cold blooded killer to a innocent child who just want love and affection from a warm hand. He is always curious and asking questions when he knows that he doesn't have the answer for and is always willing to learn, what people can share. 
He is quite a narcissistic and boastful in his skills but please don’t mind any of it. He only does It for praise. But of course a simple scolding from his grandfather will make Renji more polite and humble young man.

Background: From a world where the samurai period never really died out, and not only survived they have advanced with their technology. Being born into a family of elite samurai is one of the highest honor. But it is a lonely and cruel one for young Renji, he was started extensive training when he was really young by the head of his family, Akito Takamura. His father always strive for perfection. Those who couldn't make the cut, he eliminate or could care less. Renji was one of his greatest achievements and greatest disappointments, being proficient in most in what he does for his age. Akito still think that his son is weak due to his grandfather and mother's love and babying. 
But of course after his mother died with unknown circumstances, Renji continued to cling toward his grandfather and Akito didn't like that. He thought of a better idea of making his son stronger by implementing, what was the older children of other samurais been doing to make them elite...Is to get rid the soft out shell of the young child body and get Renji growing mind to be put into a weapon... 
Genma, previous main house head and father of Akito and Renji grandfather thought that the process was extreme for young Renji, putting a child mind into the cyborg body this young is unheard of. Only those who had to must be the age of 16 to start the process of transplanting their mind into something that they weren't born in . But of course being the head,no one else would go against Renji father's word. And being the stubborn respected doting grandfather of Renji, he would always at a stand still with Akito. 
So during the time where Genma wasn't around to keep an eye on young 10 year old Renji, Akito attacked and took Renji by force to get the process done. And of course with horrible consequences on the 10 year old mind. Due to the stress and abuse on his mind for a long period of time his mind broke, where he did not remember who he is and just listen to his father teaching him to be the perfect son. He was just a tool to his father and he was happy. Of course, it was not til his grandfather forced himself back into Renji life...and to snap Renji out of the sick fantasy that he let Akito shape for him. The man-child fought though, he fought so hard against his grandfather and he was getting to close to taking off his grandfather head when he saw something that made revert back into his innocent child self...It was his mother locket and all the loving memories of his mother and grandfather came back...He stopped and he became the little young master Renji who wants to be a child and eat candy.

He and Genma decided to cut ties with everyone but of course doing this is without any consequences. Akito was not happy and wanted to eliminate them both regardless of blood. Countless and countless of running and fighting and one with almost losing his grandfather permanently, they reach an area where a influx of energy that wasn't suppose to be there and both him and grandfather got teleported into a world where there was more grass and all of Renji's childhood imaginations is run wild . Dragons and people of different kind just living together and in peace... Renji got so much to see and Genma seems to have to make sure that his grand child doesn't get himself into trouble.
